DAY 1: TUI
Make your own way to Tui. Upon arrival, you can pick up your Pilgrim’s Credential or Pilgrim’s Passport at the Cathedral of Santa María de Tui. Also, if you arrive on time to this beautiful city, you can take a walk and in just a few metres you will find yourself at the International Bridge that joins Spain with Portugal, specifically it is located between the towns of Tui and Valença do Minho, joining the two banks of the river Miño. In Valença do Minho you can visit its fortress and buy some souvenirs at its famous open-air market held every Wednesday. Hotel accommodation.
DAY 2: TUI – O PORRIÑO | 17 KM
Breakfast at the hotel. You will start your Camino de Santiago on the banks of the river Miño and then stroll through the historic streets of the city of Tui. You will climb up to Ribadelouro and from there you will descend quietly to the town of O Porriño. You will be transferred from O Porriño to Tui to spend the night in the same accommodation as the previous night. Hotel accommodation. (B)
DAY 3: O PORRIÑO – ARCADE | 24 KM
Breakfast at the hotel. We will take you from Tui to O Porriño, from where you will climb to the top of Enxertade and soon you will arrive to Redondela, where you will start a new ascent to O Viso, with a privileged view over the estuary. The final point is Arcade, known for its oysters. Hotel accommodation. (B)
DAY 4: ARCADE – PONTEVEDRA | 12 KM
Breakfast at the hotel. You will cross the historic Roman bridge over the river Verdugo and climb up to A Canicouva along beautiful, cobbled paths. In Pontevedra, you can discover its impressive historic centre, full of charming squares and narrow streets. The Church of the Virgen de la Peregrina, with its peculiar scallop-shell shape, will undoubtedly strike you. According to tradition, the Virgen de la Peregrina guided the pilgrims from Baiona to Santiago de Compostela. Hotel accommodation. (B)
DAY 5: PONTEVEDRA – CALDAS DE REIS | 21 KM
Breakfast at the hotel. After leaving the bridge of O Burgo you will begin a route along country roads through the Galician countryside, encountering small streams that are very easy to cross. Hotel accommodation. (B)
DAY 6: CALDAS DE REIS – PADRÓN | 19 KM
Breakfast at the hotel. You will advance through lush valleys in an eminently agricultural landscape, with small towns and villages springing up on either side of the Camino. After crossing the river Ulla, which forms the shellfish-fishing estuary of Arousa, you will reach Padrón, land of illustrious writers such as Camilo José Cela and Rosalía de Castro. Hotel accommodation. (B)
DAY 7: PADRÓN – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA | 26 KM
Breakfast at the hotel. This stage will take you on a steady climb up to the city, passing through small villages. Finally, you will catch a glimpse of the majestic towers of Compostela Cathedral before entering the old town. Hotel accommodation. (B)
DAY 8: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast at the hotel. End of our services. (B)
