Itinerary

DAY 1:                                                  FERROL

Make your own way to Ferrol, a city traditionally oriented towards maritime activities, as it has a fishing port and a commercial port, but it also has civil and military shipyards (Navy facilities). Upon arrival, you can lose yourself in its historic quarter and visit, among many other places: the Ferrol Naval Museum, the Co-Cathedral of San Julián, the Church of San Francisco, and the Castle of San Felipe. Hotel accommodation.

DAY 2:                                                  FERROL – PONTEDEUME | 28 KM

Breakfast at the hotel. With the landscape of the estuary as your companion, you will walk until you reach Pontedeume, on the banks of the river Eume and near its famous Fragas do Eume. As this stage is very long, we offer a free transfer service from Ferrol to save you the first few kilometres. Hotel accommodation. (B)

DAY 3:                                                  PONTEDEUME – BETANZOS | 20 KM

Breakfast at the hotel. An ascent takes you away from Pontedeume, and once at the top, there are beautiful views of the estuary behind you. You will approach the town of Miño, which has a large beach. From this point you will ascend to Ponte do Porco, and from here you will be closer to the town of Betanzos, one of the most historic places on the English Way. Hotel accommodation. (B)

DAY 4:                                                  BETANZOS – SAN PAIO DE BUSCÁS | 31 KM

Breakfast at the hotel. You leave Betanzos behind you, next to the estuary of the same name. A long and hard stage awaits you, which makes you climb from the coastline and then walk through a rural landscape. You will pass through Hospital de Bruma, Seixo and O Castro, finally arriving at the small village of San Paio de Buscás. You will have the opportunity to do a short version of the stage saving the initial kilometres (free service). Hotel accommodation. (B)

Day 5:                                                   SAN PAIO DE BUSCÁS – MARANTES (SIGÜEIRO) | 22 KM

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will find undulating terrain dotted with farms, rural roads through forests and small villages such as Lavandeira de Riba, A Senra and Baxoia. After passing the village of Sigüeiro, you are only a short distance from the end of the stage, in Marantes (Sigüeiro). Hotel accommodation. (B)

Day 6:                                                   MARANTES (SIGÜEIRO) – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA | 12 KM
