Delve into ancient history on this 13 day tour of Jordan & Egypt
Upon arriving to Queen Alia International Airport, you will be met by our Meet & Assist representatives to assist you on your way through immigration. Then transfer to your hotel in Amman for overnight. Overnight Amman.
After breakfast, depart via the Kings Highway for Petra visiting the mosaic city of Madaba and see the oldest map of the holy land, which exists on the floor of Saint George’s Cathedral. Next we will go to Mt. Nebo – where according to tradition Moses is buried, to admire the wonderful view of the countryside, the Jordan River and the Dead Sea. Next stop is Kerak and departure for Petra. Overnight Petra.
After breakfast, we depart for our tour of the Ancient Site of Petra (the city carved into the stone and the treasury). Even if there were no other interesting sites in Jordan, the visit would still be worthwhile just to see Petra. Visitors are stunned by the dream-like view, as Petra looks absolutely unreal. We head for the archaeological site with the hundred temples, the Royal Palaces, the Roman Theatre and houses, the Hydria Monument, the Corinthian Tomb and the Monastery (for those who have enough strength to climb about 900 steps). Overnight Petra.
After breakfast, drive to the desert of Wadi Rum. Enjoy 02 hours 4×4 jeep tour of Wadi Rum, following in the footsteps of Lawrence of Arabia then drive to Amman hotel for overnight. Overnight Amman.
Check out of hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo, where your will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight Cairo.
After breakfast, depart from hotel for a full day visit of Alexandria. Visit Pompey’s pillar and the Catacomb of Kom Al Shukafa which is the largest Roman cemetery. After that you will view Fort Qaitbey which has the most visible location in Alexandria, located at the spot of the famous lighthouse of Pharos. After lunch, visit the National Museum then enjoy driving along the Corniche viewing the Montazah Gardens. End the day with a visit to the Alexandria Library, the major library and cultural centre located on the shore of the Mediterranean Sea in the Egyptian city of Alexandria. Travel with the guide through the desert road to Cairo. Overnight Cairo.
After breakfast depart on a full day tour of Cairo. You will visit Memphis and Sakkara following which we will have lunch at one of Cairo’s restaurants. After lunch, visit the Pyramids of Giza and the famous Sphinx. Overnight Cairo.
Breakfast at hotel. Meet the guide at the hotel for departure on a full day tour of Cairo where you will visit the Egyptian Museum. Visit The Citadel of Salah Din and the Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali. The tour will end with a visit to Khan El Khalili, the oldest bazaar in Cairo, where you can shop for souvenirs. Overnight Cairo.
After breakfast transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival into Luxor airport our representative will be there to meet and escort you to your 4 nights Cruise. Embarkation and check in before lunch on board. After lunch you will begin with a visit to Luxor and Karnak Temples. Overnight on board in Luxor.
Breakfast on board. We will then visit the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatchepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Back to cruise, enjoy sailing across the river Nile, reach Esna Lock, cross the lock and continue sailing to Edfu. Overnight on board.
Breakfast on board. In Edfu, take a tour by horse-drawn carriage to visit the Temple of Horus. Back to cruise, sail to Kom Ombo; visit the temples of Sobek and Horus. Back to cruise and sail to Aswan. Overnight on board.
Breakfast on board. Begin the day with a visit of Aswan with The High Dam and Philae Temple. After that you will experience the short adventure trip on the Nile by a Felucca (small boat) sailing around the islands where you will view Elephantine Island and the Aga Khan Mausoleum with a visit to the botanical garden. Overnight on board in Aswan.
After breakfast disembark your vessel and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. End of our services at Cairo airport.
