Roman Express Summer | 4 Days

Day 1                    Rome

Upon arrival into Rome, you will be transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Rome.

Day 2                    Rome

After breakfast, make your own way to Piazza del Risorgimento and meet the guide at 08:15am. Take a tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel, with skip the line entry. You’ll tour the gallery, visiting all those main spots you’ve heard about like the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Borgia Apartments. The guide will tell you everything about the Raphael Rooms and their exceptional frescoes, including The School of Ath­ens, and will take you to the Sistine Chapel, whose ceiling is one of the cornerstone works of High Renais­sance art. The tour couldn’t be complete without St. Peter’s Square. You’ll admire St. Peter’s Basilica (outside), the largest church in the world which houses several pieces of fine art: think the canopy designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini or the Pietà by Michelangelo. After some free time, meet your guide at 1:15 pm at the Arch of Constantine for the most complete tour of the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. Access the Palatine Hill with no line and discover the hill where Rome was founded. Then reach the Colosseum and be amazed by this monument that is the symbol of Rome in the world. The Amphitheatre created to entertain ancient Roman citizens with bloody shows of gladiators, animals, and cruel games, is now one of the most fascinating landmark of the city. Then, walk on the original path of ancient Rome along the Via Sacra and see the Temples of Vesta, Antonino and Faustina, the ancient Basilica Julia and Aemilia and dream about the glorious past of the Roman Empire. Day 3                    Rome

After breakfast, day is at leisure to stroll around the shopping streets, the most famous monuments, and the hidden gems of the Eternal city. Overnight in Rome. (B)

Day 4                    Rome

After breakfast, transfer to Rome airport. End of our services. (B)

–          Tour can be a combination of regular tours, therefore coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.
