DAY 1:                                            ROME

Upon arrival into Rome, make your own way to your hotel. Overnight in Rome.

DAY 2:                                              ROME

After a rich breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your driver who will take you to the meeting point with your local foodie guide. Enjoy a lovely walking tour through local food markets, grocery stores, and gelato shops in the areas of Campo De’ Fiori, Trastevere, and the Jewish Ghetto. You’ll enjoy a slice of freshly baked crispy “Pizza Bianca” filled with thin slices of freshly cut “mortadella”, and try a “Supplì”, a deep-fried tomato sauce risotto ball with mozzarella cheese. Pasta will also be on the list, along with traditional Roman Jewish dishes like carciofo alla giudia (deep-fried artichoke) or fried zucchini flowers (depending on seasonality). Save space for dessert with artisan “Gelato”! Afterward, meet your driver to head to the Vatican area, where you’ll meet your professional guide and take a tour of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Square. Admire the Gallery of Tapestries, the Geographical Maps, and Raphael’s rooms before arriving at the Sistine Chapel, Michelangelo’s masterpiece. The tour ends with a visit to St. Peter’s Basilica (exterior only. Time at your leisure to discover hidden corners of Rome. Overnight in Rome. (B)

DAY 3:                                            ROME – SORRENTO 

Experience Italy’s stunning coast on this unforgettable journey to Sorrento, Capri, and Pompeii. Pick-up from your centrally located Rome hotel starts at 6:30 am, with departure at 7:30 am. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Italian countryside and Amalfi Coast, arriving in Sorrento to explore its vibrant streets, artisanal shops, and historic churches. Afternoon at leisure, followed by dinner at the hotel (smart-casual attire recommended). Overnight in Sorrento. (B, D)

DAY 4:                                            SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO  

After breakfast, set off for Capri Island. Weather permitting, you’ll enjoy a boat ride to the enchanting Grotta Azzurra (Blue Grotto), where sunlight filters through the sea, illuminating the cave with a magical blue glow. Next, visit the Giardini di Augusto (Gardens of Augustus), a beautifully designed terrace with sweeping views of the famous Faraglioni rock formations and Marina Piccola Bay. Admire the stunning Bay of Naples before taking some free time for lunch (not included) and exploring Capri at your own pace. Later, return by boat to Marina Grande and continue back to Sorrento for dinner and an overnight stay. (B, D)

Note: The Capri Island tour runs from April 1 – October 31, 2026. From November 1, 2025 – March 31, 2026, after breakfast at the hotel, you’ll have the morning free for shopping or optional activities.

DAY 5:                                              SORRENTO

Breakfast at the hotel and the rest of your day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Sorrento. (B, D)

DAY 6:                                             SORRENTO – POMPEII – ROME

After breakfast, you’ll have some free time to soak in Sorrento’s charm one last time. Around 1:15pm, we begin the final leg of our journey. Accompanied by our expert tour leader, we head to Pompeii, where a professional local guide will take you on an extraordinary walking tour of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover the remarkably preserved ruins of this ancient Roman city, frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Skip-the-line access, personal earphones, and a radio receiver ensure you won’t miss a single fascinating detail as your guide brings history to life. At the end of the tour, we’ll depart for our return journey to Rome. Overnight in Rome. (B)

DAY 7:                                              ROME

• Accommodation is subject to change without notice. Every effort is made to avoid hotel changes but should a mid-tour hotel change become necessary after this list has been printed, contact details of the new hotel will be supplied to you by your Tour Director.
• Tour can be a combination of regular tours, therefore coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.
• For operational reasons, order of itinerary and/or excursions is subject to change at any time. Optional excursions not specified in our itinerary will be suggested by the tour leader.
• Capri excursion high Season only: April 01 – October 31, 2026. During peak season, visiting the Blue Grotto in Capri may involve long lines and limited capacity. If access is not possible, or the weather conditions do not allow it, our guides will suggest alternative attractions to ensure a satisfying and memorable tour (e.g. Faraglioni rocks).
