DAY 1: ROME
Upon arrival at Rome airport, transfer to your tour hotel. Rest of the day is at your own leisure. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 2: ROME
After breakfast at the hotel, meet your guide at 08:45am in Piazza del Risorgimento for a guided tour of the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Explore highlights such as the Gallery of Maps, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Borgia Apartments, the Raphael Rooms, and the iconic School of Athens. Enter the Sistine Chapel to admire Michelangelo’s masterpiece ceiling, then continue to St. Peter’s Square, Bernini’s Baroque creation, and view the majestic St. Peter’s Basilica (outside), home to Bernini’s canopy and Michelangelo’s Pietà. Lunch is at leisure. In the afternoon, meet your guide at 02:15pm (01:15pm for departures from Nov 1 to Mar 31) at Parco Colle Oppio for a tour of Ancient Rome. Enjoy priority access to the Palatine Hill, the birthplace of Rome, before entering the Colosseum, where gladiators once battled. Walk along the Via Sacra through the Roman Forum to see temples, basilicas, and historic ruins that bring Rome’s past to life. Overnight in Rome. (B)
DAY 3: ROME
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then spend the day exploring Rome at your own pace – from lively shopping streets and iconic landmarks to hidden corners of the Eternal City. Overnight in Rome. (B)
Note: For Saturday departures, as well as December 7, December 31, January 5, February 10, and March 18, the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel tour will be held on day 3 due to museum closures.
DAY 4: ROME
After breakfast, departure transfer to the airport. End of our services. (B)
