Itinerary

DAY 1:                                                 OVIEDO

Make your own way to Oviedo. Your Camino begins in Oviedo, capital of Asturias. This city with a pronounced medieval character surprises us with its careful and well-preserved old town, in which it is worth highlighting the Gothic cathedral of El Salvador and the Holy Chamber. Overnight in Oviedo.

DAY 2:                                                OVIEDO – GRADO

(25,2 km / 6 hrs approx. / difficulty level: medium)

You will have to take your luggage to the lobby of your hotel/pension before 08:00 am. Breakfast at your hotel. We gather our strength to begin this exciting 15-day journey. Today’s first stage, while not the most difficult, introduces the characteristic challenges of the path. Covering 25 km, the route includes frequent slopes, with the steepest climb reaching Escampelo. We then descend along the Nalón River to Peñaflor before arriving in Grado. Overnight stay at your accommodation.

DAY 3:                                                GRADO – SALAS

(25,2 km / 6 hrs approx. / difficulty level: medium)

You will have to take your luggage to the lobby of your hotel/pension before 08:00 am. Breakfast at your hotel. Today’s stage is more enjoyable than the previous one. Fully recharged, we set out for another day of hiking. The toughest part comes early, with a 300-meter climb to Alto de Fresno, where the sanctuary is worth a visit. The rest of the route is easier, following the Narcea River to Cornellana and then along the Nonaya River to reach Salas. Overnight stay at your accommodation.

You will have to take your luggage to the lobby of your hotel/pension before 08:00 am. Breakfast at your hotel. Although one of the shortest days in distance, today’s stage remains challenging due to its uneven terrain. We begin with a climb to La Espina, reaching nearly 700 meters, followed by gentler but frequent slopes. The maximum elevation gained today is 800 meters. After conquering Alto de la Espina, the route passes through small villages like La Pereda and El Pedregal before arriving in Tineo. Overnight stay at your accommodation.
