Day 1: AMMAN – PETRA
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Petra, where you can enjoy a 2 hours guided tour of the many sites this city has to offer. You will explore one of the most stunning sites in the entire Middle East – the legendary “Red – Rose” City of Petra carved out of craggy rocks by the Nabateans, the industrious Arab people who settled in the South more than 2,000 years ago. Fortified behind a narrow, deep Siq [Gorge] that slowly winds through a massive rock wall, the majestic façade of the so-called ‘Treasury’ [Al-Kazneh] rises up with a breath-taking view as you emerge into the sunlight. The Monastery [El Deir] and the High Place of the Sacrifice [Al Madbah] are among the myriad archaeological wonders to be explored at Petra. Overnight Petra. (D)
Day 2: PETRA – AMMAN
After breakfast, enjoy a second visit of Petra before driving back to Amman Airport for departure. End of our services. (B)
