DAY 1: MILAN
Upon arrival at Milan Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Milan.
DAY 2: MILAN – ST. MORITZ (BERNINA EXPRESS) – TIRANO – MILAN
After breakfast, meet your driver and travel to St. Moritz for some free time. Board the legendary Bernina Express for one of the world’s most scenic rail journeys through the Swiss Alps. Pass alpine villages, tunnels, and dramatic peaks as you cross the Bernina Pass to Tirano, where your driver awaits for the return trip to Milan. Overnight in Milan. (B)
DAY 3: MILAN
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning. In the afternoon, join a three-hour guided walking tour through the city. Start at Porta Venezia, continuing along Corso Venezia and through the Giardini Indro Montanelli, past the Galleria d’Arte Moderna and Viale Manzoni. Admire the exterior of Teatro alla Scala and the magnificent Duomo, then finish at Castello Sforzesco, a medieval fortress. Conclude with a traditional Milanese aperitivo before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Milan. (B)
DAY 4: MILAN – LAKE GARDA – TRENTO – KALTERN – BOLZANO
Depart after breakfast for Peschiera del Garda, a lovely town on Lake Garda’s southern shore. Continue to Trento to view Castello del Buon Consiglio and Santa Maria Maggiore Cathedral. After a relaxed lunch, follow Italy’s oldest wine route to Kaltern (Caldaro), known for its lake and fine wines, before arriving in Bolzano for the night. (B)
DAY 5: BOLZANO – MERANO – VIPITENO – BOLZANO
After breakfast, travel to Merano, famous for its Christmas market and historic old town, with free time for lunch. Next, explore Vipiteno, a medieval gem with Alpine charm. In the afternoon, return to Bolzano to admire the Gothic Duomo and stroll the arcaded Via dei Portici. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Bolzano. (B)
DAY 6: BOLZANO – BRESSANONE – BRUNICO – LAKE BRAIES – CORTINA
Breakfast at your hotel, then travel to Bressanone, noted for its 10th-century cathedral and blend of Austrian Italian culture, and sample local wines. Continue to Brunico for panoramic mountain views, then visit the dazzling Lake Braies-or Lake Anterselva if conditions require-before arriving in Cortina d’Ampezzo for dinner and overnight in the Dolomites. DAY 7: CORTINA – LAKE MISURINA – LAKE DOBBIACO – SAN VITO DE CADORE – CORTINA
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then take a morning drive around the lakes near Cortina, with vistas of the Dolomites and the iconic Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Stop at Lake Misurina, the region’s largest natural lake, and the emerald waters of Lake Dobbiaco. Continue to San Vito di Cadore, framed by UNESCO-listed peaks. Return to Cortina for free time, dinner, and overnight. (B, D)
DAY 8: CORTINA – BASSANO DEL GRAPPA – MILAN
After breakfast head to Bassano del Grappa, set at the foot of the Venetian Prealps. Wander cobbled streets lined with medieval towers and Venetian palaces, cross the historic Ponte degli Alpini, and visit the Museo della Grappa for a tasting of Italy’s celebrated spirit. Continue to Milan for your overnight stay. (B)
DAY 9: MILAN
After breakfast, departure transfer to Milan airport. End of our services. (B)
