DAY 1: ROME
After your arrival at the airport, make your own way to your hotel. Make the most of your one-day Hop-on Hop-off bus ticket, offering a unique way to discover Rome’s most iconic landmarks. With eight convenient stops along the route and audio commentary available in 12 languages, you can explore at your own pace. In the evening, enjoy some free time before returning to your hotel. Overnight in Rome.
DAY 2: ROME – SORRENTO
Begin your journey south along the “Autostrada del Sole,” passing Lazio and Campania’s scenic countryside. Arrive in Sorrento, a picturesque coastal town overlooking the Bay of Naples. After hotel check-in, enjoy your free afternoon. In the evening, savour a delicious dinner at your hotel (jacket recommended for men). Overnight in Sorrento. (B, D)
DAY 3: SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO
Enjoy breakfast before embarking on an unforgettable excursion to the island of Capri. Weather permitting, visit the stunning Blue Grotto by rowboat. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring Capri’s scenic lanes and upscale boutiques. Return to the mainland and enjoy dinner at your hotel. Overnight in Sorrento. (B, D)
DAY 4: SORRENTO – POMPEII – AT SEA
After breakfast, leave Sorrento and head to Pompeii for a guided tour of the ancient Roman city preserved by Vesuvius’ eruption in 79 AD. Skip-the-line access and personal headsets enhance the experience. After the visit, transfer to the port of Naples and board the overnight ferry to Palermo. No dinner or breakfast included on board. Overnight in a cabin. (B)
DAY 5: PALERMO
Arrive in Palermo and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax or begin exploring independently. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. Overnight in Palermo. (D)
DAY 6: PALERMO – MONREALE – PALERMO
This morning, visit Monreale, renowned for its Norman cathedral and citrus-filled hills. Explore the ornate mosaics before returning to Palermo for a walking tour. Discover Palermo’s rich history, from its cathedral to the old town’s architectural blend of cultures. Enjoy free time in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in Palermo. (B, D)
DAY 7: PALERMO – ERICE – MARSALA – AGRIGENTO
Travel to Erice, a well-preserved medieval village with ancient charm. Continue to Marsala for a light lunch and wine tasting in a traditional winery. After this flavourful experience, head to Agrigento. Visit the Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO site, and explore ruins like the Temple of Concord, Hercules, and Jupiter. Dinner and overnight in Agrigento. (B, L, D)
DAY 8: AGRIGENTO – RAGUSA
Depart for Ragusa and explore its enchanting baroque district, Ragusa Ibla. Visit San Giorgio Gate, Giardini Iblei, the Church of San Giuseppe, and the majestic Cathedral of San Giorgio. Admire noble palaces like Cosentini Palace, representative of Sicilian Baroque. Arrive at your hotel for dinner and overnight in Ragusa. (B, D)
DAY 9: RAGUSA – NOTO – SIRACUSA – TAORMINA
Head to Noto, famed for its elegant baroque architecture. Visit the restored Cathedral of San Nicolò and stroll through town. Continue to Syracuse and cross into the island of Ortigia, home to baroque churches and ancient ruins. Later, arrive in Taormina. Dinner and overnight in Taormina. (B, D)
DAY 10: TAORMINA – MT. ETNA – TAORMINA
After breakfast, depart to Mount Etna, Europe’s highest active volcano. Learn about its eruptions and explore the lunar-like landscapes. Weather permitting, you have a chance to climb to the summit (1800 m). Return to Taormina in the afternoon and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to discover this romantic town. Overnight in Taormina. (B)
DAY 11: TAORMINA
After breakfast, the tour ends. End of our services. (B)
