Travel eastwards from Istanbul visiting some of Turkey’s inland wonders including the fairy chimneys of Cappadocia and the terraces of Pamukkale.
DAY 1: ISTANBUL
Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 2: ISTANBUL
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour to Topkapi Palace, St. Sophia (external visit), Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)
DAY 3: ISTANBUL- ANKARA – CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast, depart for Ankara where you will visit Mausoleum of Ataturk and its Museum. This is the burial place of the national hero who founded modern Republic of Turkey. Continue to Cappadocia. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)
DAY 4: CAPPADOCIA
Today, you have the opportunity to experience an early morning hot air balloon tour (optional). Then, enjoy a full day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme and natural fortress in Uchisar. After lunch in a local restaurant, you will have the opportunity to discover and understand the rich history behind local handicrafts like hand-made carpets, Turkish tiles, onyx and potteries. Optional night tour with a Turkish show and dinner is available tonight. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B, L)
DAY 5: CAPPADOCIA – PAMUKKALE
After breakfast, early departure for Pamukkale with a visit to the 13th century Seljukian masterpiece Sultanhan Caravanserai on the way. Continue to Pamukkale. Overnight in Pamukkale. (B, D)
DAY 6: PAMUKKALE – FETHIYE
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Fethiye. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Fethiye. (B, D)
DAY 7: FETHIYE
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Fethiye Harbour where you will be welcomed aboard your motorboat by well trained and friendly staff. Enjoy lunch on board and swim stops at different islands. After the boat tour you will be transferred back to your hotel. Overnight in Fethiye. (B, L, D)
DAY 8: FETHIYE
Day at leisure. Overnight in Fethiye. (B, D)
DAY 9: FETHIYE – MARMARIS
After breakfast, transfer to Marmaris. End of services. (B)
