Transfer from New Airport to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.
Enjoy a guided tour including Topkapi Palace (closed Tuesdays), the Hippodrome, the Blue Mosque, St. Sophia (external visit only*), and the Grand Bazaar (closed Sundays).
*Internal visit to St. Sophia is not included.
Pick up from Istanbul hotel at 6:30am. Drive along the Marmara Sea to Gallipoli and visit ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine Cemetery, Johnston’s Jolly, The Nek and Chunuk Bair. Return to Istanbul.
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Kayseri (flight included) where you will be picked up and taken to Cappadocia. Visit the Devrent Valley to see the unique fairy-chimneys. Drive to Pasabagi (Monk’s Valley) to see the most interesting mushroom-shaped pinnacles. In the afternoon visit Open Air Museum in Goreme where the remains of rock-cut churches and Christian settlements date back hundreds of years. Overnight in Cappadocia.
Optional balloon tour. Depart from the hotel at 09.30am-10.00pm depending on the arrival time of the other participants and drive to Ihlara Valley, created from the ashes of the volcanic Mt. Hasan. After hiking through the valley, which is watered with Melendiz River by Belisirma, proceed to Selime with hollowed out citadel and churches where fairy chimneys rest on the steep hillside. Stop at Yaprakhisar village to take photos. In the afternoon, visit to Derinkuyu Underground Village where dwellings with stables, cellars, storage rooms, refectories, churches and wineries were used as refuges for the Christian communities. Thereafter transfer to your hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to Kayseri Airport for your flight to Izmir (flight included). Upon arrival transfer to your hotel.
Full day tour of the ancient site of Ephesus with its theatre, library of Celsius, gymnasium, and Hadrian’s Temple. Continue with a visit to the stone cottage of the Virgin Mary. Overnight Kusadasi.
After breakfast, transfer to Kusadasi port to board your Celestyal Cruise vessel. Depart at 18:00pm and cruise the deep blue waters of the Aegean.
Morning arrival to Rhodes, arriving at 08:00am. Depart Rhodes at 18:00pm.
Early arrival into Agios Nikolaos, Crete at 08:00am. Late departure from Crete at 20:00pm.
Early arrival into Santorini at 08:00am. Late departure at 22:00pm.
Early arrival into Mykonos at 08:00am. Overnight in Mykonos.
Early departure from Mykonos, set sail to Milos arriving at 08:00am. Depart Milos at 18:00pm.
Early arrival into Athens at 08:00am. Disembark after breakfast. Transfer to your Athens hotel. Overnight in Athens.
Morning tour of Athens. Pass by the Prime Minister’s residence, Constitution Square, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and the Parliament. Stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first modern Olympic Games. Visit the spectacular Acropolis with its Parthenon and then, visit the Acropolis Museum. Overnight in Athens.
Depart Athens, cross the Corinth Canal for a brief stop and then visit the Amphitheatre of Epidaurus, one of the best preserved and acoustically superb theatres in all of Greece. Proceed to the town of Nafplion with the afternoon at leisure. Overnight Nafplion.
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon depart for Mycenae, kingdom of King Agamemnon, to view the Beehive Tombs and the Lion Gate. Later, depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight Olympia.
After breakfast visit Olympia, home of the first Olympic Games in the 8th century B.C. Visit the archaeological site with the sanctuary of Zeus, the Olympic Stadium and the Museum. Continue through spectacular scenery onto Delphi, passing by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos and Itea. Overnight Delphi.
In the morning visit the archaeological site of Delphi with the Temple of Apollo and the Museum featuring the bronze statue of the Charioteer. Depart for Kalambaka passing through picturesque villages and typical towns of Central Greece. Overnight Kalambaka.
After breakfast visit the magnificent Monasteries of Meteora, perched high on monolithic rocks. Here you will see exquisite samples of Byzantine art. In the afternoon depart for Athens via Trikala, Lamia, and Thermopylae where you will see Leonidas’ Monument. Return to Athens early evening. Overnight in Athens.
Breakfast at your hotel. Departure transfer to Athens airport. End of services.
