A journey through Turkey’s ancient sites, scenic landscapes, and the ANZAC Day commemorations at Gallipoli
DAY 1: MARMARIS – PAMUKKALE
Upon arrival, transfer to the tour hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax at leisure. Overnight in Pamukkale.
DAY 2: PAMUKKALE – IZMIR After breakfast, explore the ancient city of Hierapolis, including its impressive Necropolis, historic burial grounds and the stunning limestone terraces. Continue to Selcuk to visit the Temple of Artemis, once recognised as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, before travelling onwards to Izmir for an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 3: IZMIR – EPHESUS – SIRINCE – IZMIR This morning, travel to the ancient city of Ephesus to explore its magnificent library, grand theatre and historic temples. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the charming village of Sirince, widely regarded as one of Turkey’s most beautiful villages. Enjoy time to browse local shops and sample the village’s renowned wines before returning to Izmir for an overnight stay. (B, L, D)
DAY 4: IZMIR – PERGAMUM – CANAKKALE Depart early this morning for Bergama to visit the Asklepion, famed for its remarkably well-preserved ruins. Continue onwards to Troy, the legendary setting of the Trojan War, before travelling to Canakkale for an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 5: TROY – DAWN SERVICE, GALLIPOLI Today, visit the village of Kilitbahir, located on the eastern shore of the Gallipoli Peninsula and overlooked by its historic fortress of the same name. This evening, attend the Dawn Service. (B)
DAY 6: GALLIPOLI – ISTANBUL (ANZAC DAY COMMEMORATIONS)
Today is dedicated to the ANZAC Day ceremonies and commemorative services. A boxed breakfast will be provided before continuing to Istanbul for an overnight stay. (B)
DAY 7: ISTANBUL
After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul New airport. End of services. (B)
