DAY 1: ISTANBUL
Upon your arrival into Istanbul New airport, you will be met by our representative before being transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day at your own leisure. Overnight in Istanbul.
DAY 2: ISTANBUL
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a guided tour to Topkapi Palace, St. Sophia (external visit), Blue Mosque and the Spice Market. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)
DAY 3: ISTANBUL – GALLIPOLI – CANAKKALE
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Gallipoli and visit ANZAC Cove, the Nek, Chunuk Bair, Lone Pine Cemetery, and the 57th Regiment Memorial before crossing the Dardanelles for Canakkale. Overnight in Canakkale. (B, D)
DAY 4: CANAKKALE – TROY – PERGAMUM – KUSADASI*
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Troy; the site where the legendary Trojan War took place. Depart for Pergamum and visit the Acropolis. Continue to Kusadasi. Overnight in Kusadasi*. (B, D)
*Some departures may overnight in Izmir instead of Kusadasi.
DAY 5: KUSADASI – EPHESUS – SIRINCE – KUSADASI*
After breakfast, a short drive to visit Ephesus where you will have the opportunity to discover and understand the rich history behind local handicrafts like hand-made carpets and leather. Continue to the village of Sirince where you will be able to experience one of the most beautiful villages in Turkey. You have the opportunity to shop and taste delicious wines of the village. Overnight in Kusadasi*. (B, D)
DAY 6: KUSADASI – PAMUKKALE
After breakfast drive through the meander plain and cotton farms before arriving at Pamukkale. Enjoy the beauty of the lime cascades and visit ancient Hierapolis. Overnight in Pamukkale. (B, D)
DAY 7: PAMUKKALE – KOYCEGIZ – FETHIYE
This morning, drive to the lakeside town of Koycegiz. Here we take a boat cruise to Turtle Beach and cover ourselves in mud at the local mud-bath. Proceed to Fethiye. Overnight in Fethiye. (B, D)
DAY 8: FETHIYE – KAYAKOY – OLUDENIZ – FETHIYE
After breakfast explore the quaint Greek village of Kayakoy. In the afternoon, we will drive you to Oludeniz for an opportunity to swim in the beautiful Turkish waters. Return to your hotel in Fethiye. Tonight, optional sunset cruise with dinner is available. Overnight in Fethiye. (B)
DAY 9: FETHIYE – ANTALYA
Today we will drive to Antalya. Walk in the Old Town and see the Hadrian gate and also visit Duden Waterfalls in Lara. Overnight in Antalya. (B, D)
DAY 10: ANTALYA – ASPENDOS – KONYA – CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast, early departure for Konya. En route visit Aspendos Theatre. Upon arrival to Konya visit Mevlana Mausoleum and Whirling Dervishes convent. Journey on to biblical Cappadocia. Visit ancient caravanserai on the Silk Road. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia. (B, D)
DAY 11: CAPPADOCIA
Early in the morning, an optional hot air balloon tour is available. After breakfast, full day excursion in Cappadocia including visits to the Kaymakli Underground City, Open Air Museum in Goreme and the natural fortress in Uchisar. An optional and fun Turkish folklore evening is available tonight. Overnight in Cappadocia. (B)
DAY 12: CAPPADOCIA – ANKARA – SAFRANBOLU
On the way to Safranbolu, stop at Ankara and visit the Mausoleum of Ataturk and its Museum. This is the burial place of the national hero who founded modern Republic of Turkey. Continue driving to Safranbolu, the UNESCO world heritage town that is considered to be an open-air museum. Tonight, we stay at an old ottoman mansion. Overnight in Safranbolu (B, D)
DAY 13: SAFRANBOLU – ISTANBUL
After breakfast, visit the old town of Safranbolu where you can taste the fine sample of Turkish delights. Continue to Istanbul and enjoy an afternoon visit to the Grand Bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul. (B)
DAY 14: ISTANBUL
After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul New airport. End of services. (B)
