Naples & Sorrento Escape by Rail | Partially Guided Tour | 5 Days

DAY 1:                                      ROME – NAPLES 

Meet the supplier representative at Termini Station (Via Marsala 29 in front of the pharmacy) at approximately 08:30am and take the high-speed train to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, our expert local assistant will meet you at Naples train station in front of the fountain inside the station (on the left with the back to the platforms), for a direct transfer to the hotel. Day at disposal to explore the city and taste the excellence of local food such as pizza. Overnight Naples. 

DAY 2:                                      NAPLES 

Breakfast at your hotel, then make your own way to Piazza del Gesù Nuovo to start a guided walking tour to admire the Church of Gesù Nuovo and the Monastery of Santa Chiara. Next, visit Pignasecca, a colourful local market buzzing with food and clothing shops. Take in the sights and smells of the market and try some typical Neapolitan Street food along the way. Enter the bustling Quartieri Spagnoli (Spanish Quarter), the most densely populated and characteristic part of the city. Finish in the monumental area of Naples and admire the elegant Caffè Gambrinus, the San Carlo Theatre, the Galleria Umberto, and the Piazza Plebiscito framed in the background by the Royal Palace. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Naples. (B) 

DAY 3:                                      NAPLES – POMPEII – SORRENTO 

Breakfast at your hotel and check out. Pick-up from hotel at approximately 10:00am and proceed to Pompeii for a guided tour of the archaeological excavations. This ancient Roman city was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD and buried it, preserving it under a sea of volcanic ash for nearly 1700 years. At the end of the visit transfer to Sorrento*. Overnight Sorrento.  (B) 

*For departures in 2025, a local assistant will welcome you at your hotel during the check-in and will provide all the information for your Capri excursions and transfers. 

DAY 4:                                      SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO 

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for the port, according to the details provided. Sail to Capri by traditional Gozzo Sorrentino. Enjoy a boat trip around the island and the possibility to swim into its crystal-clear waters or visit the Blue Grotto (optional entrance, weather permitting). Once landed on the island, you will continue by minibus to discover it and reach the legendary Piazzetta, heart of the island. Enjoy some free time to explore Capri at your own pace. Return to the port to head back to Sorrento for overnight. (B) 

DAY 5:                                      SORRENTO – NAPLES – ROME 

After breakfast, enjoy a morning at leisure in Sorrento. Transfer from Sorrento to Naples at around 3:30pm where a local assistant at Naples train station will help you to board the high-speed train to Rome. Arrival at Termini Station scheduled for around 7:00pm. End of our services. (B)

• Accommodation is subject to change without notice. Every effort is made to avoid hotel changes but should a mid-tour hotel change become necessary after this list has been printed, contact details of the new hotel will be supplied to you by your Tour Director.
• Hotel rooms may not be available for check-in before 2:00 p.m.
• Tour can be a combination of regular tours; therefore, coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.
• A government tourist tax may need to be paid locally upon arrival at your hotels.
• Only 1 suitcase (any size) and 1 handbag per person is allowed.
• The pick-up and drop-off times will be subject to confirmation by the local assistant.
• Tour of Capri: A landing fee of €10 per person is not included and is required to be paid on the spot. In case of bad weather, the excursion could be replaced with a guided regular group tour of Capri by ferry. In this case, the visit of the island is guaranteed but the itinerary and the inclusions may undergo small variations.
