From Venice to Milan | Guided Small Group Tour | 8 Days

DAY 1:                                   VENICE 

Upon arrival at Venice Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Venice.  

DAY 2:                                   VENICE  

After breakfast, transfer to Piazza San Marco to discover Venice’s most iconic sights, including the Palazzo dei Dogi and the renowned Bridge of Sighs. Following your guided walk, unwind with a refreshing spritz or glass of prosecco and savour a selection of Venetian cicchetti-the city’s take on tapas-for a light lunch. The afternoon is free to explore the enchanting canals at your own pace before returning to the hotel for an overnight stay. (B, L) 

DAY 3:                                   VENICE – VERONA – FRANCIACORTA – BERGAMO  

After breakfast, head to Verona, a city steeped in history and culture. Enjoy a guided tour of its Roman ruins, medieval architecture, and elegant Renaissance palaces, including a visit to Juliet’s house and balcony, immortalized in Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Continue to Franciacorta, renowned for its exceptional wine-making soil, for a light lunch with local food and wine. Continue to Bergamo for your overnight stay. (B, L)  

DAY 4:                                   BERGAMO – LAKE GARDA – BERGAMO   

After breakfast, depart for Lake Garda, Italy’s largest lake. Take in a panoramic drive along the west coast, framed by the Brenta Dolomites and the rolling Moraine Hills. In Sirmione, enjoy a boat tour to admire its scenic shoreline, medieval castle, and the ancient Grottoes of Catullus. After some free time for lunch, continue to Desenzano del Garda, known for its elegant lakeside promenade and historic centre with Venetian influences. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay in Bergamo. (B, D) 

DAY 5:                                   BERGAMO – LAKE COMO – MILAN 

After breakfast, make a short visit to Como, celebrated for its stunning views of Lake Como and the surrounding Alps. From there, aboard a boat to Bellagio, an elegant village set at the meeting point of the lake’s two southern branches, renowned for its quaint streets, luxury hotels, historic villas, and lush gardens. Enjoy lunch at your leisure before taking the afternoon ferry to Cadenabbia, where your driver will meet you for the journey to Milan. Overnight stay in Milan. (B) 

DAY 6:                                   MILAN – ST. MORITZ (BERNINA EXPRESS) – TIRANO – MILAN  

After breakfast, meet your driver and travel to St. Moritz for some free time. Then, board the Bernina Express and enjoy one of the world’s most scenic train rides through the Swiss Alps. Marvel at alpine villages, tunnels, and breathtaking mountain views as you cross the Bernina Pass toward Tirano. Upon arrival, your driver will be waiting to take you back to Milan. (B) 

DAY 7:                                   MILAN  

After breakfast, enjoy free time to explore Milan. In the afternoon, meet your guide for a three-hour walking tour, starting at Porta Venezia and continuing along Corso Venezia through the Giardini Indro Montanelli. See the Galleria d’Arte Moderna, Teatro alla Scala, the grand Duomo, and finish at Castello Sforzesco. Conclude with a classic Milanese aperitivo. Overnight in Milan. (B) 

DAY 8:                                   MILAN  

After breakfast, departure transfer to Milan airport. End of our services. (B)

• Accommodation is subject to change without notice. Every effort is made to avoid hotel changes but should a mid-tour hotel change become necessary after this list has been printed, contact details of the new hotel will be supplied to you by your Tour Director.
• Tour can be a combination of regular tours; therefore coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.
• If the minimum participant requirement is not met, the bus will operate with two tour leaders, with at least one guaranteed to speak English only.
