Venice to Rome | Guided Small Group Tour | 8 Days

DAY 1:                                   VENICE  

Upon arrival at Venice Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, meet your Tour Guide at the hotel for a welcome briefing and to meet your fellow travellers. Afterwards, enjoy a traditional Venetian aperitif with a glass of spritz or prosecco and cicchetti, the city’s famous local snacks. Overnight in Venice.  

DAY 2:                                   VENICE  

After breakfast, join your Tour Leader for a walking tour through Venice’s charming calli, bridges, and squares, discovering the city’s unique atmosphere and hidden gems. Continue with a local guide in St. Mark’s Square to admire iconic landmarks, including the exterior of Doge’s Palace and the Bridge of Sighs. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Venice at your own pace. Overnight in Venice. (B)

DAY 3:                                   VENICE – BOLOGNA – FLORENCE  

Travel to Bologna, renowned for its rich history and exceptional cuisine. Enjoy a walk from Piazza Malpighi to Piazza Maggiore, admiring landmarks such as the Basilica of San Petronio and Palazzo del Podestà. Explore the medieval streets, elegant arcades, and vibrant markets at your leisure. In the afternoon, continue to Florence for an overnight stay. (B)

DAY 4:                                   FLORENCE     

After breakfast, meet your guide and discover Florence. Admire iconic landmarks including the Duomo, Brunelleschi’s Dome, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Vecchio, and Santa Croce Basilica. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Tuscan dinner at Ristorante I Tre Pini in Impruneta, in the heart of the Chianti region, featuring authentic local cuisine paired with regional wines. Overnight in Florence. (B, D)

DAY 5:                                   FLORENCE – SAN GIMIGNANO – ROME   

After breakfast, depart Florence and travel towards Rome, with a stop in the medieval town of San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its iconic towers and charming historic centre. Enjoy free time to explore its picturesque streets, take in the views, and have lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, continue to Rome for an overnight stay. (B)

DAY 6:                                   ROME   

After breakfast, begin a walking tour to Vatican City. Enjoy a guided “Skip the Line” visit to the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Square, admiring masterpieces including the Gallery of Tapestries, Gallery of Maps, Raphael’s Rooms, and Michelangelo’s renowned frescoes. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Roman dinner with live music for an authentic taste of the Eternal City. Overnight in Rome. (B, D)

DAY 7:                                   ROME    

After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour through Rome’s iconic landmarks. Discover Castel Sant’Angelo and its fascinating history, stroll along the Tiber River, and cross the picturesque Ponte Sant’Angelo. Continue to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and the famous Trevi Fountain. The tour concludes at Piazza di Spagna, home to the Spanish Steps and the Fountain of Barcaccia, with free time to explore or relax at a local café. Overnight in Rome. (B)

DAY 8:                                   ROME   

After breakfast, departure transfer to Rome airport. End of services. (B)

• Tour can be a combination of regular tours; therefore coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.
• If the minimum participant requirement is not met, the bus will operate with two tour leaders, with at least one guaranteed to speak English only.
