Enchanting Cinque Terre by Rail | Self Guided Tour | 6 Days

DAY 1:                                      MILAN 

Upon arrival at Milan Malpensa airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure exploring the city. Depending on the arrival time, we suggest a visit to the city centre to see the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the Teatro alla Scala and the Sforzesco Castle. Overnight in Milan. 

DAY 2:                                      MILAN – GENOVA 

After breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to Milan Centrale station to board the train to Genoa. The journey takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. After arriving, make your own way to your hotel with free time at your disposal to explore the city on your own. A one-day hop-on/hop-off tourist bus ticket (with multilingual audio guide) is included, which can also be used for getting around the city. Overnight in Genova. (B) 

DAY 3:                                      GENOVA – LA SPEZIA 

After breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to the train station and board the train to La Spezia. The journey takes about 1 hour 30 minutes. Upon arrival, make your own way to your La Spezia hotel. The two-day Cinque Terre Train Card is included, allowing access to the National Park area, the use of regional trains that connect the villages, and local buses. Overnight in La Spezia. (B) 

DAY 4:                                      LA SPEZIA – CINQUE TERRE – LA SPEZIA 

After breakfast, day is at leisure to visit the Cinque Terre with the train card. Overnight La Spezia. (B) 

DAY 5:                                      LA SPEZIA – ROME 

After breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to the train station and board the high-speed train to Roma Termini Station. The journey takes about 4hrs. Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure. We recommend a visit to the Vatican Museums, Roman Forum, and the Colosseum. Overnight in Rome. (B) 

DAY 6:                                      ROME 

Breakfast at the hotel before checking out. End of our services. (B)

• Accommodation is subject to change without notice. Every effort is made to avoid hotel changes but should a mid-tour hotel change become necessary after this list has been printed, contact details of the new hotel will be supplied to you by your Tour Director.
• Hotel rooms may not be available for check-in before 2:00 p.m.
• City taxes are not included and are to be paid directly to the hotel.
• Child policy: Children aged 0-2.99 years travel free of charge, however, a seat on the train will NOT be provided. The seat on the train and the bed in the hotel will be shared with the parents. Baby cots are on request and a supplement may need to be paid directly to the hotel.
• Class of rail ticket is based on 2^nd class unless the optional upgrade to 1^st class has been selected at the time of booking.
