Beautiful Amalfi Coast Summer | 5 Days

Day 1                    ROME – POMPEII – SORRENTO

Pick up from your Rome centrally located hotel. Approximate pick up time will be on your voucher.

Departure by coach heading south crossing the regions of Lazio and Campania. Once you reach the town of Pompeii, you will have lunch with the real Neapolitan pizza! After lunch, you will enter into one of the most important archaeological sites in the world: a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the ruins of Pompeii, with Skip the Line entrance and a guided tour. Through the remains and ruins of this ancient city you will learn how the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD destroyed the city, killing its inhabitants and burying it under tons of ash. The site was lost for about 1,500 years until its initial rediscovery and the objects beneath the city have been well-preserved for centuries. So you can walk along the ancient streets for a glimpse into the lives of the Romans, discovering ancient houses, bakeries and shops and imagine the everyday life in the Roman times. Leaving Pompeii, you will drive along the Sorrentine Coast, arriving in Sorrento for dinner (dress code: jacket for men). Overnight in Sorrento. (L, D) 

Day 2                    SORRENTO

Spend a leisurely day exploring Sorrento, the jewel of the Sorrentine peninsula, famous for the cultivation of oranges, lemon, and olive trees. You could also opt for a day excursion to the nearby island of Capri (not included). Dinner at your hotel in Sorrento. Overnight in Sorrento. (B, D)

Day 3                    SORRENTO – AMALFI 

After breakfast, transfer at 11:00am to your hotel in Amalfi. Overnight in Amalfi. (B)

Day 4                     AMALFI

Enjoy a full day of exploring the wonderful coastal resort of Amalfi on your own, taking in the city’s many sites, plunging into the waters of the Gulf of Salerno, or sip­ping some of the locally produced limoncello. Overnight in Amalfi. (B)

Day 5                    AMALFI – ROME 

After breakfast, time at leisure. At approximately 3:00pm, depart for Pompeii and continue to Rome, where the tour will come to an end (estimated arrival in Rome is 9:00 pm). End of our services. (B)

–          Hotel taxes, service charges and tips for baggage handling are not included in the tour price.

–          Tour can be a combination of regular tours, therefore coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.

–          A government tourist tax may need to be paid locally upon arrival at your hotels.
