Two fabulous destinations come together in this comprehensive tour of the Holy Land and neighbouring Jordan
Upon arrival into Tel Aviv airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Drive for a visit of the port city of Jaffa (Joppa) where we will take a short walking tour in picturesque alleys of the old, fortified town. We will pass by the house of Simon the Tanner and marvel at the views from the hill top. We drive north along the coastal road – Via Maris, to the archaeological ruins of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great in honour of Augustus Caesar. From here we go on to visit Megiddo where the book of Revelations mentions a great battle at the place called “Armageddon”, an ancient city inhabited continuously for more than five millennia (6000-500 B.C.). After exploring the ancient ruins, we drive toward the Sea of Galilee, stopping at Cana to visit the Wedding Church where Jesus performed his first miracle, turning water into wine. Arrive at Tiberias and check-in to your hotel. Overnight in Tiberias.
Travel to Capernaum, the centre of Jesus’ ministry. Continue to Tabgha and the Church of Multiplication and its mosaic floor. Drive to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount. Ascend to the Golan Heights for a panoramic view. Visit Banias, one of the sources of the Jordan River. Visit the Yardenit Baptismal Site. Return to Tiberias. Overnight in Tiberias.
Sail on a boat on the Sea of Galilee. Travel to Nazareth. Visit the Church of Annunciation, St. Joseph’s workshop and Mary’s Well. Visit the ancient synagogue at Beit Alpha. Drive through the Jordan Valley, passing by Jericho. Continue to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Travel to Masada, ascending by cable car to tour the ancient fortress. Descend by cable car and visit the ancient city of Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Continue to the Dead Sea for a swim (weather permitting). Return to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Visit the Israel Museum including the Shrine of the Book which houses the Dead Sea Scrolls. Enjoy the picturesque village of Ein Karem, where John the Baptist was born. Proceed to Yad Vashem – the Holocaust memorial set in beautiful gardens. Continue to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity and Manger Square. Return to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.
*Bethlehem is under the Palestinian Authority Jurisdiction, subject to security conditions on day of visit.
Enter the Old City of Jerusalem where you will see the Western Wall and the actual site of the Second Temple, the Temple Mount. Walk the Way of the Cross, the Via Dolorosa, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the tomb of King David and the Room of the Last Supper on Mt. Zion. Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the Old City. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane. Overnight in Jerusalem.
Depart for the border to enter Jordan. Proceed to the ancient Roman city of Jerash. Drive to Amman for a panoramic city tour. Overnight in Amman.
Depart for Mt Nebo, the traditional burial place of Moses, for views of the Jordan Valley. Continue to Petra. Walk, or ride on horseback to the Siq. Walk through the Siq into Petra. Visit the Treasury, tomb of a Nabatean King, the amphitheatre, and the Altar. Overnight in Petra.
Drive to Wadi Rum. Drive through the stunning desert landscape on a jeep safari. Continue to Madaba to visit the remains of the Byzantine church with its ancient mosaic floor map. Return to Amman. Overnight in Amman.
After breakfast, leave the hotel and drive to the border. Cross the Jordan River and drive back to Tel Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv.
Departure transfer from Tel Aviv to Ben Gurion Airport.

Tour can be a combination of regular tours; therefore coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.

Wadi Rum jeep tour may not be suitable for persons of particular ages or those with medical conditions.
