DAY 1: MARRAKECH
Arrive at Marrakech Airport and transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Enjoy dinner and overnight at your hotel. (D)
DAY 2: MARRAKECH – TIZI N’TICHKA – OUARZAZATE
After breakfast, explore Marrakech’s highlights including Menara Basin, a symbol of the city since the 12th century, set amid olive groves; Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture with ornate courtyards, mosaics, and orange gardens and Traditional souks, culminating at Jemaa el-Fna Square, a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage site alive with snake charmers, storytellers, and Gnawa musicians. Then depart for the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), with free time for lunch (not included) along the way. Continue to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert and Morocco’s famed “cinema city.” Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate. (B, D)
DAY 3: OUARZAZATE – ERFOUD
Breakfast, then journey through the Valley of the Thousand Kasbahs, dotted with palm groves and adobe fortresses that whisper tales of caravans and Amazigh tribes. Pass through Skoura and Kelaat M’Gouna, famous for its Damask roses. Stop at the spectacular Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with rock walls soaring up to 300 m. Free time for lunch (not included) before continuing to Erfoud, a Saharan town renowned for its fossils and proximity to the vast dunes of the Sahara. Dinner and overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 4: ERFOUD – MERZOUGA
After breakfast, transfer to the Erg Chebbi dunes near Merzouga, where the desert’s silence awakens the senses. Optional 4×4 excursion to Berber villages, hidden oases, and Khamlia, known for Gnawa music performed by descendants of Saharan slaves. In the afternoon, enjoy a camel ride at sunset across the dunes to your desert camp. Arrive at camp for welcome tea, a traditional dinner, and an evening of music under the stars. Overnight in Berber tents. (B, D)
DAY 5: MERZOUGA – IFRANE – FEZ
Early breakfast before traveling north through ever-changing landscapes: from Sahara sands to cedar forests inhabited by Barbary macaques. Pass through Er Rachidia, Midelt, and the Middle Atlas plains. Stop in Ifrane, an Alpine-style town with manicured gardens, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue to Fez, the country’s spiritual and intellectual heart. Dinner and overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 6: FEZ
Breakfast, then morning at leisure – a visit to a traditional Fez hammam is recommended. In the afternoon, explore Fez el-Bali: the Royal Palace exterior, Bab Boujloud, Bou Inania Madrasa, souks, artisan workshops, and the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine University. Lunch included. Afternoon free to relax or explore. Overnight in Fes. (B, L)
DAY 7: FEZ – RABAT – MARRAKECH
Breakfast and departure for Rabat, Morocco’s capital, known for its serene blend of modernity and history. Explore the Hassan Tower and Mausoleum of Mohamed V, then visit the Kasbah of the Oudayas with its charming white-and-blue streets and Atlantic views. Free time for lunch (not included) before continuing to Marrakesh across the fertile plains. Arrive at the hotel, with free time to relax or take a final stroll through souks and gardens. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. (B, D)
DAY 8: MARRAKECH
After breakfast, transfer to Marrakech Airport. End of services. (B)
