DAY 1: ZAGREB – LJUBLJANA
Upon arrival, you will be transferred from Zagreb airport to your tour hotel. Meet with your tour director and get to know the details of your tour! Overnight in Ljubljana.
DAY 2: LJUBLJANA – BLED – BOHINJ – LJUBLJANA
After breakfast, embark on a walking tour of Ljubljana, showcasing its key landmarks such as Prešeren Square, the Triple Bridge, the fish market, Town Hall, and more. To complete the Ljubljana experience, ride the funicular up to Castle Hill and learn about the city’s and Slovenia’s rich history while enjoying panoramic views from the top. Continue your journey into the picturesque Alpine region to visit the renowned Lake Bled. Visit the impressive cliffside castle, which offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Then head to Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest alpine lake and ride the funicular to Mt. Vogel for breathtaking views of Triglav National Park. Enjoy some free time by the lake before returning to Ljubljana. Overnight in Ljubljana. (B)
DAY 3: LJUBLJANA – POSTOJNA – ZAGREB
Embark on an unforgettable journey into Slovenia’s magical underworld with a visit to the queen of caves – Postojna Cave, the only cave in the world that features an underground train. This remarkable natural wonder offers a truly unique experience that is sure to leave you in awe. Continue to Zagreb and enjoy a guided walking tour through the city’s historic heart. DAY 4: ZAGREB – LAKE BALATON – BUDAPEST
After breakfast, depart for Budapest-the captivating capital of Hungary and a former centre of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. En route, stop at Lake Balaton, the largest freshwater lake in Europe. Visit the scenic Tihany Peninsula and enjoy some free time to relax by the lake. Arrive in Budapest in the late afternoon. Overnight in Budapest. (B, L)
DAY 5: BUDAPEST
After breakfast, set out to experience the vibrant spirit of Hungary’s capital, beautifully divided by the Danube River. Highlights of your sightseeing tour include Andrássy Avenue, Heroes’ Square, the iconic Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, and the impressive Parliament building. The tour concludes with breathtaking views over the city from Citadella Hill. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure and explore the city at your own pace. Overnight in Budapest. (B)
DAY 6: BUDAPEST – BRATISLAVA – PRAGUE
After breakfast, head to Bratislava, the charming capital of Slovakia. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour of the city’s main landmarks, including the 13th-century Michalská Gate and the elegant pink Primate’s Palace in neoclassical style. Stroll through the historic squares and spot the many whimsical modern statues that bring the city to life. In the afternoon, continue your journey to Prague, the “Mother of Cities.” Overnight in Prague. (B)
DAY 7: PRAGUE
Enjoy a guided city tour that takes you across the iconic Charles Bridge and to landmarks such as St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Royal Palace, and the picturesque Golden Lane. Explore the well-preserved Josefov district, home to the Old Jewish Cemetery and historic synagogues, among other notable sights. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure. Overnight in Prague. (B)
DAY 8: PRAGUE – CESKE BUDEJOVICE – VIENNA
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Prague and begin our journey back to Vienna, with a stop in the renowned South Bohemian city of České Budějovice-home of the world-famous Budweiser beer. Explore this charming royal city, founded in the 13th century, before visiting the Budweiser brewery to learn about the beer-making process and enjoy a tasting of their signature brew. Later in the day, continue on to Vienna, arriving in the late afternoon. Overnight in Vienna. (B)
DAY 9: VIENNA
In the morning, enjoy a guided city tour of Vienna, taking in its most iconic landmarks, including the State Opera House, the Museums of Natural History and Fine Arts, the Hofburg Palace, Parliament, City Hall, and the Burgtheater. In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Schönbrunn Palace, the former imperial residence of the Habsburg dynasty. After immersing yourself in the grandeur of the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, enjoy some free time. Overnight in Vienna. (B, D)
