DAY 1: ZAGREB
On arrival at Zagreb Airport, transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure before meeting fellow travellers and the tour director over a welcome drink. Overnight in Zagreb.
DAY 2: ZAGREB
This morning, discover the highlights of Zagreb on a guided city tour, including the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, Zagreb Cathedral, the Parliament, and the Government Palace. The remainder of the day is free to explore the charming streets of the old town at leisure. Overnight in Zagreb. (B)
DAY 3: ZAGREB – LJUBLJANA – BLED
After breakfast, depart for Ljubljana, Slovenia’s charming capital, and enjoy a guided walking tour of the historic city centre. Highlights include the picturesque Central Market, the iconic Triple Bridge, the Baroque Town Hall, and Robba Fountain. Later, continue to the picturesque alpine town of Bled. (B, D)
DAY 4: BLED
Nestled beneath the towering peaks of the Julian Alps, Bled has captivated visitors since the mid-19th century. This morning’s sightseeing tour showcases the charming town, the scenic lakeshore, and magnificent views of Bled Castle, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the lake. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Overnight in Bled. (B)
DAY 5: BLED – POSTOJNA – PLITVICE LAKES
After breakfast, travel to Postojna Cave, one of Europe’s largest and most spectacular cave systems, and experience its remarkable underground world aboard a miniature electric train. Continue to the elegant seaside resort of Opatija, where a walking tour showcases its grand Habsburg-era villas and 19th-century charm. After some free time, journey onward to Plitvice Lakes for an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 6: PLITVICE LAKES – SPLIT
After breakfast, explore the breathtaking Plitvice Lakes National Park on a guided walk through the lower lakes. Admire this UNESCO-listed natural wonder, where sixteen terraced lakes are linked by cascading waterfalls and surrounded by lush forest. Later, continue to Split for an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 7: SPLIT
In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover Roman, Renaissance, and Gothic landmarks, including Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Split or relax at the beach. Overnight in Split. (B)
DAY 8: SPLIT – DUBROVNIK
After breakfast travel to Dubrovnik. The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B, D)
DAY 9: DUBROVNIK
This morning, discover the highlights of Dubrovnik’s UNESCO-listed Old Town on a guided walking tour. See the Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column, Sponza Palace, the Dominican Monastery, and the Franciscan Monastery, home to one of the oldest pharmacies in the world. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B)
DAY 10: DUBROVNIK – TIVAT
After breakfast, travel to Montenegro, passing along the spectacular Bay of Kotor, often referred to as the southernmost fjord in Europe. Enjoy a guided tour of Kotor’s UNESCO-listed Old Town before continuing to Tivat for an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 11: TIVAT – CETINJE – TIVAT
After breakfast, continue exploring Montenegro with a scenic drive along the spectacular Lovćen Serpentines, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Boka Kotorska Bay from more than 900 metres above sea level. Continue to Cetinje, Montenegro’s historic royal capital, and visit King Nikola’s Museum, the former royal residence, as well as the Cetinje Monastery, home to the revered relics of the Hand of St. John the Baptist and a fragment of the Holy Cross. Later, return to the hotel via the picturesque Montenegrin coastline, taking in the spectacular coastal scenery. Overnight in Tivat. (B)
DAY 12: TIVAT – TIRANA
After breakfast, depart Tivat and travel via the coastal towns of Budva and Bar before crossing into Albania and continuing to Shkodra, one of the country’s major cultural centres. Once the stronghold of the Illyrian tribe of the Labeates, Shkodra was conquered by the Romans in 168 BC. Visit Rozafa Castle, dramatically perched on a rocky limestone hill overlooking the city, before continuing to Tirana for an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 13: TIRANA
This morning, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Tirana, featuring Sheshi Skënderbej (Skanderbeg Square), the Et’hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower, and the statue of Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, Albania’s national hero. Other highlights include the Palace of Culture, built with Soviet assistance, and the National History Museum, renowned for its striking mosaic façade depicting key moments in Albania’s history. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Overnight in Tirana. (B)
DAY 14: TIRANA
After breakfast, transfer to Tirana Airport. End of services. (B)
