DAY 1: VIENNA
Upon arrival at Vienna Airport, transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure before meeting the tour director and fellow travellers for a welcome drink. Overnight in Vienna.
DAY 2: VIENNA
Start the day with visits to St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Hofburg Palace; then on to view Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, and the UN Buildings. The afternoon is free to explore the city at your own pace. Overnight in Vienna. (B)
DAY 3: VIENNA – BUDAPEST
Depart for Budapest, with stops in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia and Esztergom along the way. Dinner and overnight in Budapest. (B, D)
DAY 4: BUDAPEST
This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Budapest, taking in the Parliament, Royal Palace, Castle Hill, Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, Heroes’ Square, and Gellért Hill with its Citadel. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the city, browse the shops along Váci Utca, or relax in one of Budapest’s cafés. Overnight in Budapest. (B)
DAY 5: BUDAPEST – KRAKOW
Travel through the scenic hills and countryside of Slovakia, past the Tatra Mountains, and into the plains of Poland en route to Krakow. Overnight in Krakow. (B)
DAY 6: KRAKOW
This morning, enjoy a guided tour of Kraków, including Wawel Hill, the Royal Castle (viewed from the outside), and the Royal Cathedral. Continue on a walking tour of the Old Town, visiting the Main Market Square, Cloth Hall, and St. Mary’s Church. The afternoon is at leisure to relax or explore the city further. Overnight in Krakow. (B)
DAY 7: KRAKOW – WARSAW
After breakfast, visit Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former World War II concentration and extermination camp, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, continue to Warsaw, arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
DAY 8: WARSAW
Discover Warsaw, a city with over 700 years of history and a symbol of Polish resilience. Enjoy a panoramic drive along the historic Royal Route, passing landmarks including Castle Square, Łazienki Park, the Palace of Culture and Science, Saxon Gardens, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument, and the Barbican. Continue with a guided walking tour of the Old Town, Market Square, and St. John’s Cathedral. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight in Warsaw. (B)
DAY 9: WARSAW
After breakfast, transfer to Warsaw Airport. End of services. (B)
