After breakfast, enjoy a morning tour of the old city of Amman exploring the Citadel and the Roman Theater, two of the most popular archaeological sites in the city. Head east into the Dead Sea. Enjoy the sunshine at the lowest point on earth, whilst trying out the invigorating mud bath to cleanse the skin. Watch the sunset over the hills of the Holy Land with Jerusalem in the distance. Then drive to Petra hotel for overnight. Overnight in Petra.
Enjoy a full day tour of the Red Rose city, where you will explore one of the most stunning sites in the entire Middle East. The Red Rose City of Petra is carved out of craggy rocks by the Nabateans approximately 2000 years ago. Fortified behind a narrow, deep siq (gorge) that slowly winds through a massive rock wall, the majestic façade of the so-called Treasury rises up with a breathtaking view as you emerge into the sunlight. Overnight Petra.
After breakfast, depart from Petra for Wadi Rum. Enjoy a 4×4 jeep tour for 2 hours to explore the beauty of the desert. Overnight Wadi Rum.
After breakfast, transfer to Amman en-route visiting Kerak, Madaba & Mount Nebo. First stop is Kerak. Kerak lies about 150 Km south of Amman. It is famous of its crusader fortress in the centre of underground galleries, rooms and secret passageways and its thick defensive walls pierced by narrow arrow slits where crusader archers held out bravely but in vain for over 100 years. It was the crusaders who made Kerak famous. The fortress was built in 1142 by Payen Le Boutellier, the lord of Montreal. He made Kerak the new capital of the province because it was situated on the king’s highway, where it could control all traffic from north and south. Next, we drive to Madaba, “the City of Mosaics”. Madaba’s chief attraction, in the contemporary Greek Orthodox Church of St. Georg, is a wonderfully vivid, sixth-century Byzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites. Ten minutes to the west is the most revered site in Jordan: Mount Nebo, the memorial of Moses, the presumed site of the prophet’s death and burial place. A small, square church was built on the spot by early Byzantine Christians and later expanded into a vast complex. Then drive to Amman. Overnight Amman.
After breakfast, transfer to Queen Alia International airport, for your departure flight. End of our services at Amman airport
