DAY 1: TIRANA
On arrival at Tirana Airport, transfer to the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure before meeting fellow travellers and the tour director over a welcome drink. Overnight in Tirana.
DAY 2: TIRANA
This morning, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Tirana, featuring Sheshi Skënderbej (Skanderbeg Square), the Et’hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower, and the statue of Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, Albania’s national hero. Other highlights include the Palace of Culture, built with Soviet assistance, and the National History Museum, renowned for its striking mosaic façade depicting key moments in Albania’s history. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Overnight in Tirana. (B)
DAY 3: TIRANA – TIVAT
After breakfast, depart Tirana and travel to the historic town of Shkodra, one of Albania’s major cultural centres. Once the stronghold of the Illyrian tribe of the Labeates, Shkodra was conquered by the Romans in 168 BC. Visit Rozafa Castle, dramatically perched on a rocky limestone hill overlooking the city, before crossing the border into Montenegro and continuing to Tivat. Dinner is served upon arrival. Overnight in Tivat. (B, D)
DAY 4: TIVAT – CETINJE – TIVAT
After breakfast, continue exploring Montenegro with a scenic drive along the spectacular Lovćen Serpentines, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Boka Kotorska Bay from more than 900 metres above sea level. Continue to Cetinje, Montenegro’s historic royal capital, and visit King Nikola’s Museum, the former royal residence, as well as the Cetinje Monastery, home to the revered relics of the Hand of St. John the Baptist and a fragment of the Holy Cross. Later, return to Tivat. Overnight in Tivat. (B)
DAY 5: TIVAT – DUBROVNIK
After breakfast, depart for Dubrovnik, travelling along the stunning Bay of Kotor, often referred to as the southernmost fjord in Europe. Stop en route for an orientation tour of Kotor’s UNESCO-listed Old Town before continuing to Dubrovnik. The evening is at leisure. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B)
DAY 6: DUBROVNIK
This morning, discover the highlights of Dubrovnik’s UNESCO-listed Old Town on a guided walking tour. See the Rector’s Palace, Bell Tower Clock, Orlando’s Column, Sponza Palace, the Dominican Monastery, and the Franciscan Monastery, home to one of the oldest pharmacies in the world. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (B)
DAY 7: DUBROVNIK – SPLIT
After breakfast, travel north along the spectacular Adriatic Coast, passing charming fishing villages and popular seaside resorts before arriving in Split. (B, D)
DAY 8: SPLIT
In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover Roman, Renaissance, and Gothic landmarks, including Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Split or relax at the beach. Overnight in Split. (B)
DAY 9: SPLIT – TROGIR – PLITVICE LAKES
After breakfast, travel to the historic town of Trogir, renowned for its rich artistic and cultural heritage. Continue inland to Plitvice Lakes National Park, where a guided walk through the lower lakes reveals one of Croatia’s most spectacular natural wonders. Admire the park’s sixteen terraced lakes, linked by cascading waterfalls and surrounded by lush forests. Overnight in Plitvice Lakes. (B, D)
DAY 10: PLITVICE LAKES – OPATIJA – BLED
After breakfast, return to the coast and travel along the scenic Kvarner Bay to the elegant seaside resort of Opatija, with time to explore at leisure. Continue to Postojna Cave, one of Europe’s largest and most impressive cave systems, and experience a ride aboard its famous miniature electric train. Later, journey to Bled, a picturesque alpine town nestled in the heart of the Julian Alps. Overnight in Bled. (B, D)
DAY 11: BLED
Nestled beneath the towering peaks of the Julian Alps, Bled has captivated visitors since the mid-19th century. This morning’s sightseeing tour showcases the charming town, the scenic lakeshore, and magnificent views of Bled Castle, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the lake. The afternoon is free to explore at leisure. Overnight in Bled. (B)
DAY 12: BLED – LJUBLJANA – ZAGREB
After breakfast, depart the alpine scenery of Bled and travel to Ljubljana, Slovenia’s charming capital. Enjoy a guided walking tour of the historic city centre, taking in highlights including the Central Market, the iconic Triple Bridge, the Baroque Town Hall, and Robba Fountain. Later, continue to Zagreb for an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 13: ZAGREB
This morning, discover the highlights of Zagreb on a guided city tour, including the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, Zagreb Cathedral, the Parliament, and the Government Palace. The remainder of the day is free to explore the charming streets of the old town at leisure. Overnight in Zagreb. (B)
DAY 14: ZAGREB
After breakfast, transfer to Zagreb Airport. End of services. (B)
