Day 1: LJUBLJANA
Welcome to Slovenia and its beloved capital! After arrival, you will be transferred from Ljubljana airport to your tour hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Meet with your tour director and get to know the details of your tour! Overnight in Ljubljana.
Day 2: LJUBLJANA
Begin your day with a visit to Slovenia’s vibrant capital, Ljubljana. Your guide will lead you through the city’s main highlights, including Prešeren Square, the Triple Bridge, the fish market, Town Hall, and more. To complete your Ljubljana experience, you’ll take a funicular ride up to Castle Hill, where you’ll learn about the city’s and Slovenia’s rich history while enjoying panoramic views. The afternoon is free for you to explore the city at your own pace. Overnight in Ljubljana. (B)
Day 3: LJUBLJANA – ZAGREB
Bid farewell to beautiful Slovenia as you head to Croatia. Enjoy a walking tour of Zagreb, the country’s historic capital, featuring the charming districts of Gornji Grad and Kaptol. Explore the medieval heart of the city, filled with churches, palaces, museums, galleries, and government buildings. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore and experience the city at your own pace. Overnight in Zagreb. (B)
Day 4: ZAGREB – PLITVICE – OPATIJA/LOVRAN
Discover the stunning Plitvice National Park, Croatia’s first and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its 16 emerald lakes linked by cascading waterfalls. After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive to the Adriatic coast and stay in elegant Opatija, a historic seaside resort once favoured by royalty. Overnight in Opatija/Lovran. (B, L)
Day 5: OPATIJA/LOVRAN – ROVINJ – POREC – OPATIJA/LOVRAN
Istria, the largest peninsula in the Adriatic, is shared by Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy. Explore Rovinj, one of Croatia’s most charming and romantic coastal towns. Experience authentic Istrian culture with a visit to a local agritourism farm for a tasting, then continue to Poreč, known for its lively streets and rich history. Return to your hotel in the afternoon and enjoy some free time by the sea. Overnight in Opatija/Lovran. (B)
Day 6: OPATIJA/LOVRAN – PREDJAMA – POSTOJNA – BLED/BOHINJ
Leaving the coast behind, your journey continues into the fascinating Karst underworld. First, visit Predjama Castle-a remarkable Renaissance fortress built into a cliff, and the largest of its kind in the world. Then, explore the famous Postojna Cave, the only cave with an underground train, offering a truly unique experience. After lunch, travel to the Julian Alps region and enjoy free time surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty. Overnight in Bled/Bohinj. (B, L)
Day 7: BLED – BOHINJ – LJUBLJANA
Step into an alpine fairy tale with a visit to Bled, one of the world’s most picturesque alpine resorts. Enjoy stunning views from the cliffside castle and take a traditional pletna boat to the island in the middle of the lake. Continue to Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest alpine lake, and ride the funicular to Mt. Vogel for breathtaking views of Triglav National Park. After lunch and some free time to relax by the lake, gather in the evening for a farewell dinner to share highlights and memories from your journey. Overnight in Ljubljana. (B, L, D)
