Cruise from Opatija and back to Opatija whilst visiting the beautiful towns of Zadar, Losinj, Rab and Krk
DAY 1: OPATIJA – KRK
Make your own way to Opatija port. Check in from 13:00pm. Cruise departs at 14:00pm. Late arrivals can join in Krk town. On route, stop for swimming in the most crystal-clear water you may have ever seen. Krk has diverse villages of various sizes, stunning promenades, dramatic rock faces with tiny islands and hundreds of hidden bays and beaches. There is a buzz along the waterfront of the Krk town. Relax and enjoy many bars or restaurants. Afternoon wine tasting in Vrbnik village with bus transfer from Krk. Overnight in Krk town. (L)
DAY 2: KRK – RAB After breakfast, cruise towards Rab, known as the “island of love”. On arrival, join a guided tour to visit the imposing stone walls and striking Romanesque church towers, churches, palaces, stone streets and ancient facades. Many streets and squares act as open-air galleries for artists working outside. Do not miss to taste the famous “Rapska torta” cake (the recipe is secret). If weather permits, walk up to Kamenjak hill, and watch the magnificent sunset. Overnight in the town of Rab. (B, L)
DAY 3: RAB – ZADAR Morning cruise from Rab to Zadar, passing by Pag Island, known for its barren, moonlike terrain. Enjoy a swim stop near Maun Island, then continue to Zadar, once the ancient metropolis of Dalmatia. Upon arrival, join a guided tour of this historic gem. Highlights include the 1st-century Roman Forum, St. Donatus Church (9th century), and the mighty city walls with the impressive Port and Land Gates from the 16th century. Zadar’s lively centre is dotted with noble palaces, churches, and villas, plus plenty of sea-view restaurants and bars. Don’t miss the Sea Organ, a musical marvel played by the waves, and the nearby Greeting to the Sun light installation. Overnight in Zadar. (B, L)
DAY 4: ZADAR – KORNATI Today, visit the region of the famous Kornati National Park – rich in fish and cultural and historic remains. Historic remains of the old Illyrian fortress, Roman villas, old Christian church of St. Mary and Medieval fortresses and settlements add to the value of these islands. The Kornati consists of 140 islands and reefs. Inlets of some islands descend steeply into the sea, a hundred meters deep in places, and dramatically razor sharp. It is truly something remarkable to see. Overnight in Telašćica Bay on Dugi Otok. There is the possibility to walk to the white cliffs vertically falling 90m into the sea and rising to 200m over the sea as well as the Salt Lake “Mir”. (B, L, D)
DAY 5: KORNATI – LOSINJ After breakfast and a morning swim, cruise towards Lošinj, famously known as “the Sunshine Island” thanks to its high number of sunny days, lush pine forests, wildflowers, and aromatic herbs. Upon arrival, enjoy time at leisure and explore Mali Lošinj. Consider visiting the Museum of Apoxyomenos, dedicated to the remarkable ancient bronze statue of an athlete discovered in the sea near the island. For those up for a walk, Lošinj’s Aromatic Garden and the quaint town of Veli Lošinj are both nearby and easily explored on foot. Overnight in Mali Lošinj. (B, L)
DAY 6: LOSINJ – CRES Morning swim, then set sail for Cres Island, with a possible swim stop at Susak, weather permitting. Cres is a rugged and unspoiled island, long and narrow, covered with olive groves, vineyards, and dense forests of oak and beech. Ancient stone walls still crisscross the island’s wild landscapes. In the evening, enjoy the Captain’s Dinner on board, complete with live music. Overnight in Cres. (B, L, CD)
DAY 7: CRES – OPATIJA After breakfast, cruise towards Opatija, with its famous Riviera best admired from the sea. A swim stop and lunch on board are scheduled en route.
