DAY 1: MADRID
After arrival, you will be transferred from Madrid airport to your tour hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Madrid.
DAY 2: MADRID
Breakfast and overnight stay. Enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of the city, exploring its main avenues, squares, and iconic landmarks. The remainder of the day is free for leisure. Overnight in Madrid. (B)
DAY 3: MADRID – MERIDA – SEVILLE
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart towards the Spanish border to arrive in Mérida. Free time to explore its impressive archaeological site, featuring the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch at leisure. We then continue along the “Autovia de la Plata” (Silver Route) towards Andalucia, arriving in Seville. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (B, D)
DAY 4: SEVILLE
Morning city sightseeing tour, including María Luisa Park, Plaza de España, the exterior of the city’s stunning Cathedral and its bell tower, called Giralda and the typical neighbourhood of Santa Cruz with its streets, squares, and narrow alleys. If you wish, you can optionally navigate the Guadalquivir River, during which you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Gold Tower and Expo 92 or visit to the Maestranza bullring. Overnight Seville. (B)
DAY 5: SEVILLE – CORDOBA
Departure to Cordoba. Upon arrival we start our walking tour at Almodovar Gate, through the Jewish Quarter and continue for a visit of the famous Mosque/Cathedral. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Cordoba. (B, D)
DAY 6: CORDOBA – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL
After breakfast, depart to the Route of White Villages and Ronda. After some free time, continue to Torremolinos located on the Costa del Sol where you have the afternoon at leisure. Overnight Costa del Sol. (B, D)
DAY 7: COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA
Departure to Granada. Visit to the spectacular group of monuments of the Alhambra and Generalife, former residence of the Moorish kings, with its magnificent fountains, gardens, and arches. Overnight Granada. (B, D)
*Note: If the Patronato of the Alhambra and Generalife do not grant tickets for participants to visit the Alhambra and Generalife, a tour of the city of Granada will be provided instead. Visit to the Palace of Carlos V, the Archaeological Museum, Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, Royal Chapel, and a walk through the city Alcaiceria (silk market) and the Cathedral Square.
DAY 8: GRANADA – VALENCIA
Depart via Guadix, Baza and Puerto Lumbreras towards the Mediterranean coast and arrive in Valencia. Overnight Valencia. (B)
*Note, departures in 2027: Feb 18; Mar 11 will stay overnight in the city of Alicante instead of Valencia.
DAY 9: VALENCIA – BARCELONA
Morning is free to explore Valencia at leisure. Mid-morning, depart for Barcelona. Overnight Barcelona. (B)
*Note, for logistical reasons, the sightseeing tour of Barcelona may be performed in the afternoon upon arrival instead of the morning of day 8.
DAY 10: BARCELONA
After breakfast enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Barcelona visiting the Park of Montjuic with spectacular views, Olympic Ring, monument of Columbus and the old Gothic Quarter. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight Barcelona. (B)
DAY 11: BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA – MADRID
After breakfast, depart Barcelona and travel through Lerida and Zaragoza. Free time in Zaragoza before returning to Madrid. Overnight in Madrid. (B)
DAY 12: MADRID
Breakfast and end of services. (B)
