DAY 1:                                 MADRID – SALAMANCA – VIGO 

Depart from selected Madrid hotels at approximately 8:15 AM, or from the bus terminal at Calle Ferraz 3, Madrid, at 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM. (Please refer to your voucher for detailed pickup information or instructions if you need to make your own way to the terminal).

Depart to Salamanca. Time at leisure to walk through this monumental city and its famous Plaza Mayor. Continue to Vigo for dinner and overnight in Vigo. (D)

DEPARTURES FROM 27 MAR 2026:

DAY 2:                                 VIGO – VIANA DO CASTELO – BRAGA – PORTO

After breakfast, cross the Portuguese border and arrive in Viana do Castelo, city located between the mouth of the river Miño and Porto. Free time to visit the old town with cobbled streets and emblazoned buildings. We continue to Braga known as the city of the archbishops and the third most populated city in Portugal. Free time. Proceed to Porto for an overnight stay. (B)

DEPARTURES FROM 19 MAR 2027:

DAY 2:                                 VIGO – VIANA DO CASTELO – BRAGA – GUIMARÃES – PORTO

After breakfast, cross the Portuguese border we arrive to Viana do Castelo, city located between the mouth of the river Miño and Porto. Free time to visit the old town with cobbled streets and emblazoned buildings. We continue to Braga known as the city of the archbishops and the third most populated city in Portugal. Continue to Guimarães, known as the first capital of the kingdom and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Departure for Porto for an overnight stay. (B)

DAY 3:                                 PORTO

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of Porto, taking in some of the city’s most notable landmarks, including Porto Cathedral, the Stock Exchange Palace and Santa Clara Church. Continue to a local wine cellar for a tasting of the region’s famous Port wine. Overnight in Porto. (B)

DAY 4:                                 PORTO – COIMBRA

After breakfast, depart for Coimbra, the site of one of the oldest universities in Europe and the birthplace of Fado, the music of Portugal. Enjoy lunch, followed by time at leisure. Overnight in Coimbra. (B, L)

DEPARTURES FROM 19 MAR 2027:

DAY 4:                                 PORTO – AVEIRO – COIMBRA

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Aveiro, often referred to as the “Portuguese Venice” for its picturesque canals and colourful boats. Continue to historic Coimbra, home to one of Europe’s oldest universities and renowned for its distinctive style of Fado music. Enjoy lunch followed by free time to explore the city at your own pace. Overnight in Coimbra. (B, L)

DAY 5:                                 COIMBRA – FATIMA – LISBON

After breakfast, travel to Fatima, an important pilgrimage centre. Free time to visit the Shrine and afterwards continue to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal located at the mouth of the Tagus River. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)

DAY 6:                                 LISBON

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning panoramic sightseeing tour of this beautiful city, located at the mouth of the Tagus River: Edward VII Park’s hilltop viewpoint, Rossio Square, Liberdade Avenue, Madragoa District (where Fado, the traditional Portugues music was born). We will continue to the Belem District, with its famous Tower, Monument to the Navigators, and Los Jeronimos Monastery. Free afternoon. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)

DAY 7:                                 LISBON – MERIDA – SEVILLE

Breakfast at your hotel. Depart towards the Spanish border to arrive in Mérida. Free time to explore its impressive archaeological site, featuring the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  Lunch at leisure. We then continue along the “Autovia de la Plata” (Silver Route) towards Andalucia, arriving in Seville. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (B, D)

DAY 8:                                 SEVILLE

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning city sightseeing tour, including María Luisa Park, Plaza de España, the exterior of the city’s stunning Cathedral and its bell tower, called Giralda and the typical neighbourhood of Santa Cruz with its streets, squares, and narrow alleys. Overnight in Seville. (B)

DAY 9:                                 SEVILLE – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL

After breakfast, depart along the Route of the White Villages for Ronda. You will have some free time before continuing to Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol where you have the afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol. (B, D)

DAY 10:                              COSTA DEL SOL – TANGIER (FERRY)

Following breakfast, depart from the Costa del Sol to embark on a ferry, crossing the Strait of Gibraltar. Arrive in Morocco with a guided panoramic tour to see the surroundings of Tangier, Grottos de Hercules, and Cape Spartel. Overnight in Tangier. (B, D)

DAY 11:                              TANGIER – VOLUBILIS – MEKNES – FEZ

Breakfast at the hotel before departing through the scenic Middle Atlas region towards Fez. Stop in Volubilis to explore its impressive Roman ruins, including the ancient Decumanus Maximus and the Arch of Caracalla. Continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s historic Imperial Cities, where you will visit the medina, El Hedim Square and the magnificent Bab Al Mansour gate. In the afternoon, continue to Fez for dinner and an overnight stay. (B, D)

DAY 12:                              FEZ

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, discover Fez, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. Begin with a panoramic tour and visit the Royal Palace and its impressive gates before entering the UNESCO-listed Fes El Bali, the country’s oldest and largest medina. Wander through its maze of historic streets and alleys, discovering traditional artisan quarters, bustling souks and centuries-old craftsmanship. Visit a historic Medersa and see local artisans at work, from the famous leather tanneries to traditional copper craftsmen. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, followed by an afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Fez. (B, L)

DAY 13:                              FEZ – CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH

Breakfast at the hotel before departing for Casablanca, Morocco’s vibrant economic capital. Enjoy free time for lunch along the famous Corniche, followed by an exterior visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Continue to Marrakech, arriving in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech. (B, D)

DAY 14:                              MARRAKECH

Breakfast at the hotel. Today, explore Marrakech, one of Morocco’s renowned Imperial Cities. Begin at the iconic Koutoubia Mosque before continuing to the magnificent 19th-century Bahia Palace. Discover the historic Mellah, or Jewish Quarter, before arriving at lively Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. Enjoy some free time before lunch at a local restaurant. Overnight in Marrakech. (B, L)

DAY 15:                              MARRAKECH – RABAT

Breakfast at the hotel before departing for Rabat, Morocco’s administrative capital and one of its historic Imperial Cities. On arrival, visit the impressive Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V before exploring the picturesque Kasbah of the Oudayas. Enjoy a stroll along the banks of the Bouregreg River before returning to the city. In the evening, enjoy a night tour of Rabat followed by dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Rabat. (B, D)

DAY 16:                              RABAT – TANGIER – COSTA DEL SOL (FERRY)

After breakfast departure for Tangier to embark the ferry and cross the Strait towards Spain. Arrival at Costa del Sol. Overnight in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol. (B, D)

DAY 17:                              COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA 

Enjoy breakfast before departing to Granada. Visit to the spectacular group of monuments of the Alhambra and Generalife, former residence of the Moorish kings, with its magnificent fountains, gardens, and arches. Overnight in Granada. (B, D)

Note: If the Patronato of the Alhambra and Generalife do not grant tickets for participants to visit the Alhambra and Generalife, a tour of the city of Granada will be provided instead. Visit to the Palace of Carlos V, the Archaeological Museum, Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, Royal Chapel, and a walk through the city Alcaiceria (silk market) and the Cathedral Square.

DAY 18:                              GRANADA – TOLEDO – MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for the historic Imperial City of Toledo, renowned for its fascinating history and remarkable monuments. Enjoy lunch before taking in panoramic views from the Mirador del Valle, followed by a walking tour through Toledo’s atmospheric Old Town. Continue to Madrid, arriving in the late afternoon. The tour concludes upon arrival in Madrid city centre. Hotel drop-off is not included, and travellers will need to make their own way to their accommodation. (B, L)
