DAY 1: MADRID
After arrival, you will be transferred from Madrid airport to your tour hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Madrid.
DAY 2: MADRID
Breakfast and overnight stay. Enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of the city, exploring its main avenues, squares, and iconic landmarks. The remainder of the day is free for leisure. Overnight in Madrid. (B)
DAY 3: MADRID – SALAMANCA – PORTO
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart to Salamanca. Time at leisure to walk through this monumental city and its famous Plaza Mayor. Continue to Porto. Overnight in Porto. (B)
DAY 4: PORTO
Panoramic tour of Porto to admire the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange Building, and Santa Clara Church. Visit a local wine cellar to taste the famous Port wine. Overnight Porto. (B)
DAY 5: PORTO – COIMBRA – FATIMA – LISBON
Breakfast and departure for Coimbra, renowned for its historic university-one of the oldest in Europe-and as the birthplace of fado. Enjoy some free time before continuing to Fátima, a major pilgrimage destination. Take time to visit the Basilica and Sanctuary, then journey onward to Lisbon, Portugal’s capital. Overnight stay in Lisbon. (B)
DAY 6: LISBON
Breakfast at your hotel. In the morning, enjoy a panoramic tour of this stunning city at the mouth of the Tagus River. Highlights include the Park Viewpoint, Edward VII Square, Rossio Square, Liberdade Avenue, and the charming Madragoa District-birthplace of traditional Portuguese Fado music. Continue to the Belém District to admire the iconic Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries, and Jerónimos Monastery. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)
DAY 7: LISBON – MERIDA – SEVILLE
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart towards the Spanish border to arrive in Mérida. Free time to explore its impressive archaeological site, featuring the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch at leisure. We then continue along the “Autovia de la Plata” (Silver Route) towards Andalucia, arriving in Seville. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (B, D)
DAY 8: SEVILLE
Morning city sightseeing tour, including María Luisa Park, Plaza de España, the exterior of the city’s stunning Cathedral and its bell tower, called Giralda and the typical neighbourhood of Santa Cruz with its streets, squares, and narrow alleys. If you wish, you can optionally navigate the Guadalquivir River, during which you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Gold Tower and Expo 92 or visit to the Maestranza bullring. Overnight Seville. (B)
DAY 9: SEVILLE – CORDOBA
Breakfast. Depart for Córdoba. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour beginning at the Almodóvar Gate, passing through the historic Jewish Quarter, and visiting the renowned Mosque-Cathedral. The afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Córdoba. (B, D)
DAY 10: CORDOBA – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL
Depart to the Route of White Villages and Ronda. After some free time, continue to Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol where you have the afternoon at leisure. Overnight Costa del Sol. (B, D)
DAY 11: COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA
Departure to Granada. Visit to the spectacular group of monuments of the Alhambra and Generalife, former residence of the Moorish kings, with its magnificent fountains, gardens, and arches. Overnight Granada. (B, D)
*Note: If the Patronato of the Alhambra and Generalife do not grant tickets for participants to visit the Alhambra and Generalife, a tour of the city of Granada will be provided instead. Visit to the Palace of Carlos V, the Archaeological Museum, Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, Royal Chapel, and a walk through the city Alcaiceria (silk market) and the Cathedral Square.
DAY 12: GRANADA – VALENCIA
Depart via Guadix, Baza and Puerto Lumbreras towards the Mediterranean coast and arrive in Valencia. Overnight Valencia. (B)
DAY 13: VALENCIA – BARCELONA
Morning is free to explore Valencia at leisure. Mid-morning, depart for Barcelona. Overnight Barcelona. (B)
*Note, for logistical reasons, the sightseeing tour of Barcelona may be performed in the afternoon upon arrival instead of the morning of day 12.
DAY 14: BARCELONA
After breakfast enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Barcelona visiting the Park of Montjuic with spectacular views, Olympic Ring, monument of Columbus and the old Gothic Quarter. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight Barcelona. (B)
DAY 15: BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA – PAMPLONA
After breakfast, depart for Zaragoza, with a brief stop for free time to explore the Basilica de Nuestra Señora del Pilar, the Patroness of the Hispanic world. Continue onward to Pamplona, renowned for the San Fermín festival and its picturesque old town. Dinner and overnight in Pamplona. (B, D)
**Note, departures in 2026: JUN 28, will stay overnight in a city near Pamplona instead of Pamplona.
DAY 16: PAMPLONA – SAN SEBASTIAN – BILBAO – SANTANDER
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart for San Sebastian, one of the most elegant cities in Northern Spain. Free time to stroll along La Concha Bay or enjoy the old town. Continue to Bilbao, the capital of the province of Biscay, with a brief stop to admire the avant-garde Guggenheim Museum building. The journey then continues to Santander for dinner and an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 17: SANTANDER – SANTILLANA – COVADONGA – OVIEDO
After breakfast, depart for Santillana del Mar, a town designated as a National Monument. Continue through scenic landscapes to Covadonga, where you’ll have free time to visit the Sanctuary. Arrive in Oviedo for dinner and overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 18: OVIEDO – LA CORUNA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA After breakfast, departure to region of Galicia. Arrival to La Coruña. Short panoramic tour. We then continue to Santiago de Compostela for dinner and an overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 19: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA Breakfast followed by a city tour of this renowned pilgrimage destination, featuring the iconic Plaza del Obradoiro and the majestic Cathedral, the spiritual and artistic centrepiece of Santiago. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 20: SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – RIAS BAJAS – VIGO
Breakfast and departure for the scenic Rías Baixas region, known as the Spanish Fjords. Enjoy a short stop at La Toja Island before continuing to O Grove, where you can take an optional catamaran cruise to visit oyster and mussel farms, complete with a tasting of fresh mussels and Ribeiro wine. Continue to Vigo for an afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Vigo. (B)
DAY 21: VIGO – LEON
Breakfast before departing for the inland region of Castilla y León. Arrive in León, a historic city renowned for its rich artistic heritage. Enjoy free time to visit the stunning Gothic cathedral or explore the charming old town. Dinner and overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 22: LEON – SALAMANCA – MADRID
Breakfast and departure for Salamanca, with a short stop to explore the charming old town and its renowned Baroque Plaza Mayor. Continue to Madrid for your overnight stay. (B)
