DAY 1:                                 MADRID – SALAMANCA – PORTO

Depart from selected Madrid hotels at approximately 8:15 am, or from the bus terminal at Calle Ferraz 3, Madrid, at 7:30 am – 8:00 am. (Please refer to your voucher for detailed pickup information or instructions if you need to make your own way to the terminal).

Depart to Salamanca. Time at leisure to walk through this monumental city and its famous Plaza Mayor. Continue to Porto for an overnight stay.

DAY 2:                                PORTO

Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour of Porto, taking in some of the city’s most notable landmarks, including Porto Cathedral, the Stock Exchange Palace and Santa Clara Church. Continue to a local wine cellar for a tasting of the region’s famous Port wine. Overnight in Porto. (B)

DAY 3:                                 PORTO – COIMBRA – FATIMA – LISBON

Breakfast and departure for Coimbra, renowned for its historic university-one of the oldest in Europe-and as the birthplace of fado. Enjoy some free time before continuing to Fátima, a major pilgrimage destination. Take time to visit the Basilica and Sanctuary, then journey onward to Lisbon, Portugal’s capital. Overnight stay in Lisbon. (B)

DAY 3:                                 PORTO – AVEIRO – COIMBRA – FATIMA – LISBON

Breakfast and departure for Aveiro, often referred to as the “Venice of Portugal” for its picturesque canals and colourful boats. Continue to Coimbra, home to one of Europe’s oldest universities and renowned for its distinctive fado tradition. Enjoy free time to explore before travelling to Fátima, one of Portugal’s most important pilgrimage destinations. Free time to visit the Basilica and Sanctuary, followed by the journey to Lisbon, Portugal’s vibrant capital. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)

DAY 4:                                 LISBON

Breakfast at the hotel. Morning panoramic sightseeing tour of this beautiful city, located at the mouth of the Tagus River: Edward VII Park’s hilltop viewpoint, Rossio Square, Liberdade Avenue, Madragoa District (where Fado, the traditional Portugues music was born). We will continue to the Belem District, with its famous Tower, Monument to the Navigators, and Los Jeronimos Monastery. Free afternoon. Overnight in Lisbon. (B)

DAY 5:                                LISBON – MERIDA – SEVILLE

Breakfast at the hotel before departing towards the Spanish border and continuing to Mérida. Enjoy free time to explore the city’s remarkable Roman heritage, including its impressive Theatre and Amphitheatre, part of Mérida’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed archaeological ensemble. Lunch is at leisure before travelling along the historic Silver Route towards Andalusia and Seville. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (B, D)

DAY 6:                                 SEVILLE

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Seville, taking in the beautiful María Luisa Park and impressive Plaza de España. Admire the exterior of Seville Cathedral and its iconic Giralda bell tower before exploring the charming Santa Cruz neighbourhood, known for its picturesque streets, lively squares and narrow winding lanes. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore independently. Overnight in Seville. (B)

DAY 7:                                SEVILLE – CORDOBA

Breakfast and departure for Cordoba. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour beginning at Almodóvar Gate and continuing through the historic Jewish Quarter to the magnificent Mosque-Cathedral, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. The afternoon is at leisure to explore at your own pace. Dinner and overnight in Cordoba. (B, D)

DAY 8:                                CORDOBA – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL

Breakfast and departure along the scenic Route of the White Villages towards Ronda, one of Andalusia’s most picturesque towns. Enjoy free time to explore before continuing to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and overnight in Costa del Sol. (B, D)

DAY 9:                                COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA

Breakfast and departure for Granada. Visit the magnificent Alhambra and Generalife, the former residence of the Moorish rulers, renowned for their exquisite architecture, beautiful gardens, fountains and elegant courtyards. Dinner and overnight in Granada. (B, D)

Note: If the Patronato of the Alhambra and Generalife do not grant tickets for participants to visit the Alhambra and Generalife, a tour of the city of Granada will be provided instead. Visit to the Palace of Carlos V, the Archaeological Museum, Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, Royal Chapel, and a walk through the city Alcaiceria (silk market) and the Cathedral Square.

DAY 10:                             GRANADA – VALENCIA

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart Granada via Guadix, Baza and Puerto Lumbreras towards the Mediterranean coast and arrive in Valencia. Overnight in Valencia. (B)

*Note, departures in 2027: Jun 22 and Oct 12 will stay overnight in the city of Alicante instead of Valencia.

DAY 11:                              VALENCIA – BARCELONA

Departures till 18 Mar 2027: Following breakfast, enjoy some free time in Valencia. At mid-morning depart Valencia for Barcelona. Overnight in Barcelona. (B)

Note, for logistical reasons, the sightseeing tour of Barcelona may be performed in the afternoon upon arrival instead of the morning of day 12.

Departures from 19 Mar 2027: Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy some free time in Valencia before departing in the late morning for Barcelona. Upon arrival, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour featuring Montjuïc, offering spectacular city views, the Olympic Ring, the Columbus Monument and the iconic Sagrada Família. Overnight in Barcelona. (B)

DAY 12:                              BARCELONA

Departures till 18 Mar 2027: After breakfast enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Barcelona visiting the Park of Montjuic with spectacular views, Olympic Ring, monument to Columbus and the old Gothic Quarter. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Barcelona. (B)

Departures from 19 Mar 2027: Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Barcelona at your own pace. Overnight in Barcelona. (B)

DAY 13:                             BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA – PAMPLONA

Breakfast and departure for Zaragoza. Enjoy a brief stop with free time to visit the impressive Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Continue to Pamplona, renowned for its famous San Fermín festival and charming historic centre. Overnight in Pamplona. (B, D*)

DAY 14:                              PAMPLONA – SAN SEBASTIAN – BILBAO – SANTANDER

Breakfast and departure for San Sebastián, one of northern Spain’s most elegant coastal cities. Enjoy a short panoramic tour followed by an ascent of Mount Igueldo for spectacular views over the city and bay. Continue to Bilbao, with a brief stop to admire the striking architecture of the Guggenheim Museum, before travelling onwards to Santander. Dinner and overnight in Santander. (B, D)

DAY 15:                              SANTANDER – SANTILLANA – COVADONGA – OVIEDO

Breakfast and departure for Santillana del Mar, a beautifully preserved medieval town recognised as a National Monument. Continue through the scenic landscapes of northern Spain to Covadonga, with free time to visit its famous Sanctuary. Afterwards, travel to Oviedo for an overnight stay. (B, D*)

DAY 16:                              OVIEDO – LA CORUNA – SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

Breakfast and departure for Galicia, arriving in the elegant coastal city of La Coruña for a brief panoramic tour. Continue to Santiago de Compostela, one of Europe’s most important pilgrimage destinations. Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour featuring the iconic Plaza del Obradoiro and magnificent Cathedral of Santiago, the spiritual and architectural heart of the city. Dinner and overnight in Santiago de Compostela. (B, D)

DAY 17:                              SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast at your hotel. Free day to explore. Dinner and overnight in Santiago de Compostela. (B, D)

DAY 18:                              SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA – RIAS BAJAS – VIGO

Breakfast and departure for the beautiful Rías Baixas, renowned for its picturesque coastal landscapes. Enjoy a brief stop at La Toja Island before continuing to O Grove, where you may choose to join an optional catamaran cruise to see the region’s oyster and mussel farms, including a tasting of mussels accompanied by Ribeiro wine. Continue to Vigo, with free time to explore at leisure. Overnight in Vigo. (B)

DAY 19:                              VIGO – LEON

Breakfast before departing for the inland region of Castilla y León. Arrive in León, a historic city renowned for its rich artistic heritage. Enjoy free time to visit the stunning Gothic Cathedral or explore the charming old town. Dinner and overnight in Leon. (B, D*)

DAY 20:                             LEON – SALAMANCA – MADRID 

Breakfast and departure for Salamanca, with a short stop to explore the charming old town and its renowned Baroque Plaza Mayor. Continue to Madrid. The tour concludes upon arrival in Madrid city centre. Hotel drop-off is not included, and travellers will need to make their own way to their accommodation. (B)
