Sorrento & Positano by Rail | 5 Days

DAY 1:                  ROME – NAPLES – POMPEII – SORRENTO

Meet the supplier representative at Termini Station at approximately 08:30am and take the high speed train to Naples. Upon arrival in Naples, our expert local assistant meets you at Naples train station and you will proceed to Pompeii for a guided tour of the archaeological excavations. This ancient Roman city was destroyed when Vesuvius erupted in 79 AD and buried it, preserving it under a sea of volcanic ash for nearly 1700 years. At the end of the visit transfer to Sorrento, famous for its picturesque old town centre and characteristic fisherman’s village of Marina Grande, one of the most authentic treasures of the city. A local assistant welcomes you at hotel during the check-in and gives you all the information for your excursions and transfers. Overnight Sorrento.   

DAY 2:                  SORRENTO – CAPRI – SORRENTO

After breakfast, transfer to Sorrento port and depart for Capri by traditional Gozzo Sorrentino. Enjoy a boat trip around the island and the possibility to swim into its crystal-clear waters or visit the Blue Grotto (optional entrance, weather permitting). Upon arrival in Capri, continue by minibus to the Piazzetta, the heart of the island. Enjoy some free time to explore Capri at your own pace. Return to the port to head back to Sorrento for overnight. (B)

DAY 3:                  SORRENTO – POSITANO

Breakfast at the hotel. At 10:30am., transfer from Sorrento to Positano with time at leisure to discover the beauty of Positano. Stroll through the narrow streets filled with beautiful local fashion stores: sarongs, sandals, ceramics, and jewellery. Overnight Positano.(B)

DAY 4:                  POSITANO

Day at leisure to explore Positano and the Amalfi Coast. Overnight in Positano. (B)

DAY 5:                  POSITANO – NAPLES – ROME

Morning at leisure in Positano. Transfer from Positano to Naples at around 3:00pm where a local assistant at Naples train station will help you to board the high speed train to Rome. Arrival at Termini Station scheduled for around 7:00pm. End of our services. (B)

Things to Note:

–          Accommodation is subject to change without notice. Every effort is made to avoid hotel changes but should a mid-tour hotel change become necessary after this list has been printed, contact details of the new hotel will be supplied to you by your Tour Director.

–          Hotel rooms may not be available for check-in before 2:00 p.m.

–          Hotel taxes, service charges and tips for baggage handling are not included in the tour price.

–          Tour can be a combination of regular tours; therefore, coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.

–          A government tourist tax may need to be paid locally upon arrival at your hotels.
