DAY 1: MADRID – SALAMANCA – PORTO
Depart from selected Madrid hotels at approximately 8:15 AM, or from the bus terminal at Calle Ferraz 3, Madrid, at 8:00 AM. (Please refer to your voucher for detailed pickup information or instructions if you need to make your own way to the terminal. Be at the terminal no later than 7:45 AM).
Depart to Salamanca. Time at leisure to walk through this monumental city and its famous Plaza Mayor. Continue to Porto. Overnight in Porto.
DAY 2: PORTO
Panoramic tour of Porto to admire the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange Building, and Santa Clara Church. Visit a local wine cellar to taste the famous Port wine. Overnight Porto. (B)
DAY 3: PORTO – COIMBRA – FATIMA – LISBON
Breakfast and departure for Coimbra, known for its prestigious university-one of the oldest in Europe-and as the birthplace of fado music. Enjoy some free time to explore before continuing to Fátima, a major pilgrimage site. Take time to visit the Basilica and Sanctuary, then proceed to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Overnight stay in Lisbon. (B)
DAY 4: LISBON
Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Lisbon including the old Alfama Quarter, Tower of Belem, and Monastery of Los Jeronimos. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Lisbon. (B)
DAY 5: LISBON – MERIDA – SEVILLE
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart towards the Spanish border to arrive in Mérida. Free time to explore its impressive archaeological site, featuring the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lunch at leisure. We then continue along the “Autovia de la Plata” (Silver Route) towards Andalucia, arriving in Seville. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (B, D)
DAY 6: SEVILLE
Morning city sightseeing tour, including María Luisa Park, Plaza de España, the exterior of the city’s stunning Cathedral and its bell tower, called Giralda and the typical neighbourhood of Santa Cruz with its streets, squares, and narrow alleys. If you wish, you can optionally navigate the Guadalquivir River, during which you will enjoy a panoramic view of the Gold Tower and Expo 92 or visit to the Maestranza bullring. Overnight Seville. (B)
DAY 7: SEVILLE – CORDOBA
Breakfast. Depart for Córdoba. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided walking tour beginning at the Almodóvar Gate, passing through the historic Jewish Quarter, and visiting the renowned Mosque-Cathedral. The afternoon is free to explore at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Córdoba. (B, D)
DAY 8: CORDOBA – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL
Depart to the Route of White Villages and Ronda. After some free time, continue to Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol where you have the afternoon at leisure. Overnight Costa del Sol. (B, D)
DAY 9: COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast at your hotel. Full day at your own leisure. Dinner and overnight at your hotel. (B, D)
DAY 10: COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore on your own. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. (B, D)
DAY 11: COSTA DEL SOL – TANGIER – RABAT – CASABLANCA (FERRY)
Early departure from the Costa del Sol to Tarifa and ferry crossing to Tangier, the “White City.” Explore the port, souks, and historic quarters before continuing to Rabat to see Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V. After lunch, travel to Casablanca. Dinner and overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 12: CASABLANCA – MARRAKECH
Breakfast at your hotel. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Casablanca, highlighting its cosmopolitan charm and scenic seafront boulevards. Stop outside the impressive Hassan II Mosque, a modern masterpiece of Islamic architecture featuring the world’s tallest minaret at 210 metres (optional interior visit available). Continue inland to Marrakech. Spend the afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Marrakech. (B, L)
DAY 13: MARRAKECH
Breakfast at your hotel. Discover Marrakech’s highlights: Bahia Palace, Menara Gardens, and Koutoubia Mosque (exterior). Explore the bustling souks and Jemaa el Fna Square, alive with music, storytellers, and food stalls. Afternoon at leisure for riads, workshops, or an optional hammam. Dinner and overnight stay. DAY 14: MARRAKECH – MOHAMMEDIA – TANGIER
Breakfast at your hotel. Depart north with a stop in Mohammedia, a charming coastal town known for its beaches and fresh seafood. Once called “Fédala” during the colonial era, it is now a major oil port. Enjoy free time for lunch (lunch not included). Continue by road to Tangier, arriving at sunset. Evening at leisure to stroll along the port boulevard or relax at the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Tangier. (B, D)
DAY 15: TANGIER – TARIFA – COSTA DEL SOL (FERRY)
Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer to the port for a ferry crossing of the Strait of Gibraltar. Arrive in Tarifa and continue by road to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and overnight stay. (B, D)
DAY 16: COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA
Departure to Granada. Visit to the spectacular group of monuments of the Alhambra and Generalife, former residence of the Moorish kings, with its magnificent fountains, gardens, and arches. Overnight Granada. (B, D)
Note: If the Patronato of the Alhambra and Generalife do not grant tickets for participants to visit the Alhambra and Generalife, a tour of the city of Granada will be provided instead. Visit to the Palace of Carlos V, the Archaeological Museum, Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, Royal Chapel, and a walk through the city Alcaiceria (silk market) and the Cathedral Square.
DAY 17: GRANADA – TOLEDO – MADRID
After breakfast, departure to the Imperial City of Toledo, full of history and monuments. Lunch and panoramic view from Mirador del Valle and walk through its old town. Continue back to Madrid. End of our services upon arrival into Madrid city centre. No hotel drop off. You will need to make your own way to the hotel. (B, L)
