Highlights of Spain (Thursday) | Guided Group Tour | 5 Days

DAY 1:                                                 MADRID – MERIDA – SEVILLE

Depart from selected Madrid hotels at approximately 8:15 am, or from the bus terminal at Calle Ferraz 3, Madrid, at 7:30 am – 8:00 am. (Please refer to your voucher for detailed pickup information or instructions if you need to make your own way to the terminal).

Drive towards Extremadura to arrive in Mérida, with free time to explore its extraordinary archaeological complex, featuring the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, both declared UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then, continue along the “Autovía de la Plata” (Silver Route) towards Andalucia, arriving in Seville. Dinner and overnight in Seville. (D)

DAY 2:                                                 SEVILLE
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Seville, taking in the beautiful María Luisa Park and impressive Plaza de España. Admire the exterior of Seville Cathedral and its iconic Giralda bell tower before exploring the charming Santa Cruz neighbourhood, known for its picturesque streets, lively squares and narrow winding lanes. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore independently. Overnight in Seville. (B)

DAY 3:                                                 SEVILLE – RONDA – COSTA DEL SOL
After breakfast, depart along the Route of the White Villages for Ronda. You will have some free time before continuing to Torremolinos on the Costa del Sol where you have the afternoon at leisure. Overnight Torremolinos, Costa del Sol. (B, D)

DAY 4:                                                 COSTA DEL SOL – GRANADA

Breakfast at the hotel before departing for Granada. Visit the magnificent Alhambra and Generalife, the former residence of the Moorish rulers, renowned for their beautiful architecture, intricate arches, tranquil courtyards, fountains and landscaped gardens. Dinner and overnight in Granada. (B, D)

Note: If the Patronato of the Alhambra and Generalife do not grant tickets for participants to visit the Alhambra and Generalife, a tour of the city of Granada will be provided instead. Visit to the Palace of Carlos V, the Archaeological Museum, Church of Santa María de la Alhambra, Royal Chapel, and a walk through the city Alcaiceria (silk market) and the Cathedral Square.

DAY 5:                                                 GRANADA – TOLEDO – MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel before departing for Toledo, Spain’s historic Imperial City. Enjoy lunch followed by panoramic views from the Mirador del Valle and a walk through Toledo’s atmospheric Old Town, renowned for its rich history and impressive monuments. Continue to Madrid, where the tour concludes on arrival. Hotel drop-off is not included, and travellers will need to make their own way to their accommodation (B, L)

• Tour can be a combination of regular tours, therefore coach changes may be required. The same people may not be travelling throughout the tour.
• Passengers are required to clear customs with their own luggage. Only one piece of luggage per person is permitted.
• In the unusual event that group number is less than 12 people, the Tour Operator reserves the right to operate the tour by minibus or private car with an expert bilingual driver. Local visits to monumental cities will be by official local guides.
• On the 23 December 2027 departure, the stay in Costa del Sol will be on a bed and breakfast basis.
• On the 30 December 2027 departure, the stay in Sevilla will be on a bed and breakfast basis.
