Itinerary

DAY 1:                                     BERLIN

Upon arrival at Berlin Airport, transfer to the Berlin hotel. Take time to relax before meeting fellow travellers and the tour director over a welcome drink. Overnight in Berlin.

DAY 2:                                     BERLIN

This morning’s sightseeing tour features views of the impressive Reichstag and the lovely Schloss Charlottenburg. Continue through the city to see famous sights such as the State Opera, Schiller Theater, and Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church. The afternoon is free to explore this once-divided city at your own pace. Overnight in Berlin. (B)

DAY 3:                                     BERLIN – DRESDEN – PRAGUE

After breakfast, travel to Dresden, the beautiful Baroque city in Saxony. Enjoy an orientation tour, including views of the Zwinger Palace and Semper Opera House. Then continue on to Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. Overnight in Prague. (B)

DAY 4:                                     PRAGUE

After breakfast, we cross the Vltava River to visit the Royal Castle of Hradcany, and see the Cathedral of St. Vitus, the Old Royal Palace, St. George’s Basilica, and the Golden Lane with the Daliborka Tower. Then, enjoy a panoramic tour of the Old Town Square, the famous Astronomical Clock, the Jewish Quarter, St. Nicholas Church, Charles Bridge and more. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Prague. (B)

DAY 5:                                     PRAGUE – VIENNA

Travel by motorcoach to Vienna, the “City of Waltz.” Upon arrival, enjoy free time to begin exploring the city’s rich culture, architecture, and cuisine. Overnight in Vienna. (B)

DAY 6:                                     VIENNA

Start the day with visits to St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Hofburg Palace; then on to view Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, and the UN Buildings. The afternoon is free for personal exploration. Overnight in Vienna. (B)

DAY 7:                                     VIENNA – BUDAPEST      

Depart for Budapest, with stops in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, and Esztergom along the way. Dinner and overnight in Budapest. (B, D)

DAY 8:                                     BUDAPEST  

Your sightseeing tour includes views of the Parliament, Royal Palace, Castle Hill area, Fisherman’s Bastion, Matthias Church, Heroes’ Square, and Gellért Hill with its Citadel. The afternoon is free to explore the “Paris of the East”-shop along Váci Utca, sample apple strudel, sip Hungarian wine. Overnight in Budapest. (B)

DAY 9:                                     BUDAPEST – KRAKOW      

Travel through the scenic hills and countryside of Slovakia, past the Tatra Mountains, and into the plains of Poland en route to Krakow. Overnight in Krakow. (B)

DAY 10:                                  KRAKOW

This morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kraków’s highlights, including Wawel Hill, views of the Royal Castle, and a visit to the Royal Cathedral. Continue with a walking tour of the Old Town, featuring the Main Market Square, Renaissance Cloth Hall, and St. Mary’s Church. The afternoon is at leisure to relax or further explore this historic city. Overnight in Krakow. (B)

DAY 11:                                  KRAKOW – WARSAW  

Visit Auschwitz-Birkenau, the former World War II concentration camp and UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a guided tour offering insight into this significant historical site. Continue to Warsaw, arriving later in the afternoon. Enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation in Warsaw. (B, D)

DAY 12:                                  WARSAW

Discover Warsaw, a city with over 700 years of history and a symbol of Polish resilience. Enjoy a panoramic drive along the historic Royal Route, passing landmarks including Castle Square, Łazienki Park, the Palace of Culture and Science, Saxon Gardens, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Warsaw Ghetto Heroes Monument, and the Barbican. Continue with a guided walking tour of the Old Town, Market Square, and St. John’s Cathedral. The afternoon is at leisure. Overnight in Warsaw. (B)

DAY 13:                                  WARSAW

After breakfast, transfer to Warsaw Airport. End of services. (B)
