Itinerary

DAY 1 – MONDAY:                          ZADAR

Check-in at Zadar port at 1700 hours (5pm). Free time or optional sightseeing of Zadar (starting at 1730 hours and included on Premium & Premium Superior). The city is today the centre of the region and was the metropolis of the Dalmatia region for many centuries. The rich cultural heritage is visible at every turn: the Roman forum which dates to the 1st century AD, the church of St. Donatus dating to the 9th century AD – the most famous Medieval basilica and the symbol of the city. The imposing and mighty city walls with representative Port and Land gates are from the 16th century AD, and there are numerous palaces and villas of former noble families. Great restaurants line part of the waterfront and the centre of town. Famous, contemporary creations are the  Zadar Sea Organ, one of a kind in the world (listen to the sound)  and “The Greeting to the Sun” light installation. Overnight in Zadar.

DAY 2 – TUESDAY:                           ZADAR – MOLAT or OLIB
Early departure towards Molat or Olib (depending on availability in the small harbours), islands in the northern part of the Zadar archipelago. Think pure peace and serenity. Tonight, it’s the Captain’s dinner party on board (Included on Premium Superior & Premium). Overnight in the harbour. (B, L, D – dinner included for Premium/Premium Superior only)

DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY:                   MOLAT or OLIB – ILOVIK – LOSINJ
After breakfast and a morning swim, cruise towards Ilovik. It may have only a few hundred inhabitants but Ilovik has lovely bays and crystal-clear water. We make a short stop before leaving for Losinj known as “sunshine island” and its abundance of pines, wildflowers, and herbs. Losinj is one of the most popular islands on the northern Adriatic waters for its hidden coves and cool Mediterranean vibe. On arrival, stroll along the pretty waterfront or walk up to the Lošinj Aromatic Garden full of indigenous herbs and plants. The small town of Veli Lošinj is easy to reach if you want to explore on foot. Overnight in Mali Lošinj. (B, L)

DAY 4 – THURSDAY:                       LOŠINJ – CRES
Departure towards Cres island after the morning swim. This unspoiled island of long and narrow shape is abundant with olive groves, vineyards, forests of oak, and beech and some remarkable stone walls. Cres and Mali Lošinj once were one island before the Romans dug a narrow channel to separate them. Spend the night in the port of Cres, a typical medieval town. (B, L)

DAY 5 – FRIDAY:                               CRES – OPATIJA
After breakfast, departure towards Opatija. The famous Opatija Riviera is best seen from the sea. On arrival in the afternoon, join a walking tour of Opatija (included on Premium Superior). Stroll the longest lungomare (seaside promenade) in Croatia or stop in Volosko, a traditional fishing village with some of the best fish restaurants in the country. On your last night on board, maybe have a farewell party under the stars. This would be a great time to swap contact details with your new friends and plan your return. Many people come back, again and again. Overnight Opatija. (B, L)

DAY 6 – SATURDAY:                       OPATIJA
After breakfast say goodbye to the crew. End of our services. (B)

FAQ’s

In some trips we list multiple vessels in the same class. We do so, as we may use a different vessel depending on departure date, occupancy and availability. As always, these vessels are a guide only and subject to change. Where we need to use a different vessel than that which we list, we endeavour to use vessels with a similar class.

Wonderful 8 day cruise

Review for: Breathtaking Croatia Cruise Opatija-Split

Wonderful 8 day cruise on the Olmissum from Opatja on September 10 2022. The captain and crew were very professional and helpful in every way! The rooms and facilities were very comfortable and the food was excellent. Our on board tour manager, Josefine, was so knowledgeable about European history that she explained it effortlessly and with a real passion. We will definitely sail with this company again. It’s a great way to discover Croatia!
