DAY 1: MESTRE
Upon arrival, transfer from Venice Marco Polo airport to the tour hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Mestre.
DAY 2: MESTRE – VENICE – BLED
Meet the dedicated tour leader at the hotel reception between 9:00 and 9:30 AM before departing for Venice. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of the remarkable floating city with an English-speaking guide, followed by a leisurely lunch. Afterward, continue the journey to the picturesque town of Bled in Slovenia. Overnight stay in the tranquil Lake Bled area. (B, L)
DAY 3: BLED
Enjoy a relaxing excursion to the stunning glacial Lake Bled, one of Slovenia’s most iconic destinations, renowned for its picturesque scenery. Following a peaceful traditional boat ride, time is available to explore the island at leisure. The journey continues to the historic Bled Castle, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the lake, town, and surrounding Alpine peaks, with visibility extending to Slovenia’s highest mountain, Mount Triglav on clear days. The day concludes with a visit to the tranquil Lake Bohinj, a hidden gem known for its unspoiled beauty and outstanding photo opportunities. Overnight stay in the Lake Bled area. (B)
DAY 4: BLED – KLAGENFURT – WÖRTH LAKE – BLED
Today, travel to neighbouring Austria and take in spectacular views of the Alpine landscape. In the historic region of Carinthia, enjoy a panoramic tour of the picturesque Lake Wörthersee, stretching approximately 20 km in length. Continue to the charming university town of Klagenfurt, home to the famous Lindworm Fountain in the historic Old Town square, the Alter Platz. Following the visit, lunch is served in the Klagenfurt area before returning to the Lake Bled region for an overnight stay. (B, L)
DAY 5: BLED – LJUBLJANA – POSTOJNA – ROVINJ/VRSAR
Before heading to Croatia, visit the enchanting capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, for a captivating walking tour. Next, explore the magnificent Postojna Cave, one of the largest underground cave systems in Europe, renowned for its wondrous geological formations and home to the mysterious olm. In the late afternoon, arrive on the coast of Croatia’s largest peninsula, Istria. Enjoy dinner and overnight in Rovinj or Vrsar. (B, D)
DAY 6: ROVINJ/VRSAR – PULA – ROVINJ/VRSAR
Begin the day with a sightseeing tour of Rovinj, one of the most beautiful jewels of the Istrian Coast. Wander through its winding cobbled streets and discover a rich blend of history and stunning coastal views across this picturesque peninsula. Continue inland through Istria to experience its most celebrated delicacy-truffles-followed by a guided olive oil tasting at a renowned local producer, showcasing the region’s finest extra virgin oils and their distinctive aromas and flavours. The day concludes with a visit to the remarkably preserved Roman amphitheatre in Pula, a true highlight of the 3,000-year-old city. Overnight stay in Rovinj or Vrsar. (B)
DAY 7: ROVINJ/VRSAR – OPATIJA – FUZINE (LAKE BAJER) – PLITVICE
Travel from Croatia’s largest peninsula through the elegant coastal town of Opatija, with time to explore its grand villas, historic hotels and the scenic Lungomare promenade. Optional visits include Angiolina Park or a coffee stop at Wagner’s terrace. Continue through the forested Gorski Kotar region to the charming town of Fužine for a visit to the Vrelo Cave, followed by a traditional lunch at the renowned Bitoraj restaurant. The journey then continues to the breathtaking “water wonderland” of Plitvice Lakes for dinner and an overnight stay in the area. (B, L, D)
DAY 8: PLITVICE – SPLIT
After breakfast, be enchanted by the labyrinth of evergreen woods and lakes interconnected by stunning waterfalls at the UNESCO-protected Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the world’s most impressive national parks. Continue to Split for a short evening walk through the UNESCO World Heritage site, exploring Diocletian’s Palace, the Grgur Ninski Statue, and the Cathedral and Bell Tower of St. Domnius. Overnight in Split. (B)
DAY 9: SPLIT
After breakfast, transfer to Split airport or Trogir port. End of services. (B)
