DAY 1: ZAGREB
After arrival, you will be transferred from Zagreb airport to your tour hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Meet your fellow travellers tonight at a welcome reception. Overnight Zagreb.
DAY 2: ZAGREB
This morning, enjoy a city tour featuring the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral, Parliament, and Government Palace. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the winding streets of the old town or take an optional excursion to see the countryside. (B)
DAY 3: ZAGREB – LJUBLJANA – BLED
After breakfast head towards Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. See the most significant sights of the old city centre on a walking tour. Highlights include the picturesque open-air Central Market, the Three Bridges, Baroque Town Hall, and Robba’s Fountain. Then, continue to Bled. (B, D)
DAY 4: BLED
An Alpine Lake surrounded by high peaks, Bled was “discovered” by travellers in the middle of the 19th century. Since then, a small town of hotels, villas, and restaurants has developed around the lake, turning Bled into a lively, all-seasons resort. A sightseeing tour features the charming town and the lakeshore, and visits imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps join an optional excursion visiting the small island in the middle of the lake, browse through the shops and boutiques, or simply relax and enjoy the enchanting scenery. (B)
DAY 5: BLED – POSTOJNA – OPATIJA – PLITVICE
Journey continues to Postojna, home to one of the largest caves in Europe. Tour this fantastic subterranean world by miniature electric train. Afterward, continue to the coast with a stop in Opatija. Enjoy a walking tour of this fashionable resort of the 19th century, dotted with Habsburg era villas. After some free time, continue towards Plitvice. (B, D)
DAY 6: PLITVICE – SPLIT
After breakfast, have your camera ready as you take a walking tour around the lower lakes. Enjoy the breath-taking scenery of this natural wonder of sixteen terraced lakes surrounded by thickly wooded mountains and lush vegetation. After the tour, head to Split. Overnight in Split. (B, D)
DAY 7: SPLIT
In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour featuring the historic inner city, built around the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Then see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. The rest of the day at leisure, to stroll through the beautiful streets of Split, or enjoy at the beach. (B)
DAY 8: SPLIT – DUBROVNIK
After breakfast travel to Dubrovnik. You will be transferred to the port, where embarkation begins at 14:00 pm. Get settled in your cabin before going on a walking tour of Dubrovnik around 17:00h, the “Pearl of Adriatic”. Walk through Stradun – both a street and a square, the most famous place inside the town walls, enlisted as UNESCO’s World Heritage site, where your guide will show you the most interesting sights of Dubrovnik and visit the Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy. After returning to ship enjoy a welcome reception followed by dinner this evening. (B, D)
DAY 9: DUBROVNIK – SLANO
Early in the morning enjoy the magic scenery as the ship cruises around Dubrovnik city walls to continue to one of the Elaphiti Islands for a swim stop. Afternoon arrival in Slano, a peaceful fishermen’s village and our starting point to Ston, situated on Peljesac peninsula and once fortified small village famous for its oysters, which we will taste in a nearby village. Peljesac peninsula is known as one of the best wine-producing regions in Croatia. Overnight and Captain’s dinner on board in Slano. (B, L, CD)
DAY 10: SLANO – MLJET NATIONAL PARK – KORCULA
In the morning, we head north to the Island of Mljet. Join the cruise manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park. Continue our cruise towards the Korčula island, best known as a birthplace of Marco Polo. Afternoon arrival in Korčula followed by a guided walking tour of this enchanting town surrounded by walls, which is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean. Overnight in Korčula where you can enjoy a gourmet experience at the multiple restaurants and bars. (B, L)
DAY 11: KORCULA – HVAR
In the morning, we are sailing towards the island of Hvar. Along the way to Island of Hvar we take a short break swimming, cooling off and relaxing, if the weather permits. Lunch on board and set sail for Hvar on the island of Hvar, a charming seaside town with 8 centuries of architecture, and a favourite holiday destination for international celebrities. During a walking tour, visit many historical sites, such as St Stephen’s Square and Cathedral, the Arsenal with the theatre built on its first floor, the first municipal theatre in Europe. Above the town is the impressive fortress Fortica offering magnificent views over the bay and Pakleni Islands. Your evening is free to explore more and dine on your own in one of the many restaurants. (B, L)
Note: Due to the limited capacity of the Hvar harbour (during peak season) port of all can be substituted for Stari Grad. In that case transfer by bus will be organized to and from Hvar.
DAY 12: HVAR – BISEVO – VIS
Early in the morning we sail to the small island Biševo to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon. The possibility of our visit will depend on weather conditions; however, you will be notified of this on time. Afterwards continue to Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and restricted to the public. Due to this isolation, Vis has a special charm – “the Mediterranean as it once was” making it interesting to visit. Since the independence of Croatia, the island began opening slowly to the outside world. Some of Europe’s largest and greatest naval battles happened in the waters of Vis. Vis Island holds many historic secrets and we will explore Vis history by military Land Rover Defenders. Overnight in one of the harbours on the island of Vis. (B, L)
DAY 13: VIS – BRAC
Early morning we head towards Milna on the Island of Brač with a swim stop, weather permitting, in one of pristine bays, time to relax and lunch on board. After lunch disembark in Milna and take a ride with us to the Olive Oil Museum where we will share with you the story of this island’s traditions and history and tasting of traditional homemade olive oil. Overnight in one of the harbours on the island of Brac. (B, L)
DAY 14: BRAC – SPLIT – TROGIR
In the morning, we will head towards Trogir with a stop along the way to swim and relax, if the weather permits, with lunch on board. After docking, join a short orientation walk through this medieval city. Trogir is sometimes referred to as “miniature Venice” or a “mini-Dubrovnik” because of its ancient walls, or a “floating museum town” – as it has a masterful architecture including some stunning Venetian palaces. In the late afternoon we will take a ride to Split where you will join a guided tour of Split with and visit the seafront promenade and Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace. The historical centre of the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will see the remnants of Split’s Roman heritage, its Renaissance and Gothic structures, Jupiter’s Temple, the Peristyle, and the Cathedral. Enjoy your free time in Split and explore the city on your own. After an exciting evening, we transfer you to the ship. Overnight in Trogir. (B, L)
DAY 15: TROGIR
After breakfast, disembark your vessel. Transfer to Split airport. End of our services. (B)
