The full Jordanian experience. See Jerash, Amman the Dead Sea and Petra, and relax in the Red Sea at Aqaba
Meet our representative at Queen Alia International airport and be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight Amman.
After breakfast, begin your Amman city tour: Citadel Mount, Archaeological Museum, Downtown, Roman Theatre and old and new parts of Amman. Drive to Ajloun castle which was expanded in 1214 into its current configuration. The castle is one of the best preserved and most complete examples of medieval Arab-Islamic military. Continue to Jerash, the Greco roman city (Gerasa in ancient times), enjoying a round tour with spectacular features such as: colonnade streets, soaring hilltop temples, theatre, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls pierced by towers and gates. Transfer back to Amman. Overnight Amman.
After breakfast, drive to Um Qeis. Visit this Greco-Roman town, also mentioned in the Bible, located on a hillside of northern Jordan, and marvel at the sweeping view of Lake Tiberias and the Golan Heights from atop this Decapolis. Kindle that transcendental feeling, as you walk through the path of ancient flourishing civilizations, their remnants telling the story of the many travellers who entered its ancient gates; from the Macedonians, who first established their acropolis, to the Romans, Byzantines, Umayyads and Ottomans. Drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Free time for relaxation and leisure. Transfer back to Amman. Overnight Amman.
After breakfast, transfer to Madaba, passing through a string of ancient sites. Its contemporary Greek orthodox church of St. George is wonderfully vivid with its sixth century Byzantine mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites. Transfer to visit Mt. Nebo which provides a unique natural balcony for a bird’s-eye view of the holy land and southern Jordan. Drive to visit Kerak where you will visit one of the many castles in Jordan from the time of the Crusades. Continue to Petra. Overnight Petra.
Enjoy a full day tour of the Red Rose city, where you will explore one of the most stunning sites in the entire Middle East. The Red Rose City of Petra is carved out of craggy rocks by the Nabateans approximately 2000 years ago. Fortified behind a narrow, deep siq (gorge) that slowly winds through a massive rock wall, the majestic façade of the so called Treasury rises up with a breathtaking view as you emerge into the sunlight. The Monastery and the High Place of the Sacrifice are among the myriad archaeological wonders to be explored in Petra. Overnight Petra.
After breakfast depart from Petra for Wadi Rum. Enjoy a 4×4 jeep tour for 2 hours to explore the beauty of the desert. Overnight Wadi Rum.
Following breakfast, travel to Aqaba. Your day is free to enjoy the beaches of Aqaba. Overnight Aqaba.
After breakfast, transfer from Aqaba to Queen Alia International airport, Amman, for your departure flight. End of our services at Amman airport.
