Travel around Italy on this 6 day independent rail package from Milan to Rome
DAY 1: MILAN
Upon arrival at Milan Malpensa airport, you will be transferred to the hotel. Check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure exploring the city. Depending on the arrival time, we suggest a visit to the city centre to see the Duomo, the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, the Teatro alla Scala and the Sforzesco Castle. Overnight in Milan.
DAY 2: MILAN – GENOVA
After breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to Milan Centrale station to board the train to Genoa. The journey takes about 1h 40m. After arriving, make your own way to your hotel with free time at your disposal to explore the city on your own. A one-day hop-on / hop-off tourist bus ticket (with multilingual audio guide) is included, which can also be used for getting around the city. Overnight in Genova. (B)
DAY 3: GENOVA – LA SPEZIA
After breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to the train station and board the train to La Spezia. The journey takes about 1h 30m. Upon arrival, make your own way to your La Spezia hotel. La Spezia is the starting city to explore the famous Cinque Terre, the stretch of coast with 5 fishing villages perched over the sea: Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore. The two-day Cinque Terre Train Card is included, allowing access to the National Park area, the use of regional trains that connect the villages, and local buses. Overnight in La Spezia. (B)
DAY 4: LA SPEZIA – CINQUE TERRE – LA SPEZIA
After breakfast, day is at leisure to visit the Cinque Terre with the train card. Overnight La Spezia. (B)
DAY 5: LA SPEZIA – ROME
After breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to the train station and board the high-speed train to Roma Termini Station. The journey takes about 4hrs. Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel, with the rest of the day at leisure. We recommend a visit to the Vatican Museums, Roman Forum, and the Colosseum. Overnight in Rome. (B)
DAY 6: ROME
Breakfast at the hotel before checking out. End of our services. (B)
