Itinerary

Transfer from Dubrovnik airport to Dubrovnik harbour (Gruz) where the vessel will be docked. Check in from 2pm (1400hrs) onwards. After settling in, transfer to city gates for a guided tour of the city. The special charm of this ancient town are the buildings that have remained from the time of the old Dubrovnik Republic. Many of the monuments belong to the modest Renaissance architecture with some traces of Gothic style. Take the cable car from the Old Town to Srđ mountain to enjoy scenic views of the mighty ramparts and of the Elaphiti Islands. After the tour, return transfer to the ship for a welcome meet & greet cocktail reception on board. Overnight onboard in Dubrovnik.

Meals Included:
Dinner

After breakfast you head to the town of Kotor. As you are traveling from one country to another, there will be some formalities at the border. Upon arrival, join a transfer to Perast (approximately 30 min) by bus. In Perast we take a smaller boat to visit the artificial island Our Lady of the Rock, the church known for its tablet collection and magnificent paintings. Return to Kotor by bus to visit old city of Kotor – protected by UNESCO and described as “the most attractive corner of the old continent”. The magnificent Cathedral of St. Triphun was built in 1166. and is the beautiful example of sacred architecture. The Old City of Kotor is a well-preserved urbanization typical of the Middle Ages. Many other monuments include numerous churches and palaces and Napoleon’s Theatre from the 19th century. Overnight in Kotor.

Meals Included:
Breakfast, Lunch

A morning coach excursion to Budva. Visit old town and citadel that are bordered by the waves of the Mediterranean. Budva is the capital of the Montenegrin Riviera with its 21 km long coast and numerous beaches. Old town of Budva lies on a small peninsula and represents a treasure chest of cultural heritage. Crossed with narrow streets and squares are famous buildings such as the St. Trojica Church. Departure towards old royal Cetinje magical city at the foot of the Mount Lovćen, the historical, cultural, and spiritual capital of Montenegro. Guided visit of the city with entrance to the King Nikola’s Museum. Continue towards Njeguši, cradle of Montenegrin royal family. Lunch in a traditional restaurant, tasting local ham and cheese with red wine. Continue towards the coast, driving by the old serpentine road overlooking Boka Bay. Return to Kotor, where your vessel awaits. Dinner on board, overnight in Kotor.

Meals Included:
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early morning departure towards Croatia. After the formalities and crossing the border, you continue our trip towards the Elafiti islands, a group of islands west of Dubrovnik, which were a part of a glorious Dubrovnik Republic through centuries and therefore shared its wealth. After the Republic lost its significance, the residents left the Elaphiti and now only three islands are inhabited. They include Šipan, Lopud and Koločep (Kalamota) and attract numerous tourists with their beautiful scenery and sandy beaches. Šipan, the largest island of the Elafiti, is also the most distant from Dubrovnik. Tonight, you will get to enjoy Captain’s dinner.

Meals Included:
Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

In the morning, you continue our cruise towards the Island of Korčula, best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop for lunch in one of the secluded bays en route. Afternoon arrival in Korčula followed by a guided walking tour of this enchanting town with fortified walls. On this island, you can find more legends, tales, and monuments than anywhere else while you wander along the herringbone pattern streets. Korčula has an abundant choice of restaurants where you can continue your gourmet experience. There are many bars and clubs for those looking for evening entertainment. Overnight in Korčula.

Meals Included:
Breakfast, Lunch

Early morning departure towards the island of Mljet with a swim stop on Pelješac peninsula. Part of Mljet island is a National Park (entrance fee included). In the afternoon, we visit the seawater lakes, then cross to the peaceful, tiny St Mary’s Isle in the middle of the large lake to visit the church and the monastery. Walk or hire a bike to explore paths and trails around these stunning lakes. Overnight in the port of Polača/Pomena depending on weather and space.

Meals Included:
Breakfast, Lunch

There is no better way to catch the first sight of your final destination – the famous town Dubrovnik – than approaching from the sea. It is one of the few walled cities on the sea in the world. Writer George Bernard Shaw described it as “heaven on earth”. You cruise alongside the old city walls for a true perspective of the majesty of this place. Once moored, you have an afternoon to wander and explore Dubrovnik on your own. Walk those famous ramparts (all 1940 meters long!) or visit museums such as Sponza or Rectors, now is the time.

Meals Included:
Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends! Check out by 9.00am and transfer to Dubrovnik airport or hotel in Dubrovnik. End of our services.

Important things to note

All itineraries and cruise vessels are subject to change without notice.

Sailing is at the Captain’s discretion.

Due to the size of the ports, vessels may be lined up next to each other which may result in other passengers boarding your vessel to reach another vessel.

Guests must follow ship rules (to be found in written form on the ship) especially with regards to not bringing drinks on board and in case of bad behaviour, the tour operator/captain reserves the right in asking clients to disembark.

DO NOT BOOK!!!

Review for: Split - Dubrovnik - Split Cruise (KL2)

DO NOT book a cruise with this group. We booked a week long cruise, everything from the levels and types of boats are mis-leading. We had a cruise to and from Split stopping into some islands and as a maritime professional I was flabbergasted. The crew drank all day everyday including the captain and including when underway. There were literally guests sitting with empty glasses at lunch and in the evening and the waitress was running glass full of rum, vodka, gin forward to the bridge and galley. We did not receive what was advertised daily and there was no Covid related cleaning, in fact there was no cleaning at all just making the beds. Then at the end they try to inflate your bill and lie about the drink pricing and THEN they ask for a tip for the crew. It could be a comedy sketch if it weren't for the fact that passengers were no doubt in danger if something had happened like an engine fire. NEVER NEVER will I book a Croatia Cruise through this company and if I were to book a future cruise it would be with a proper company on a small Catamaran or something similar where they have offices and boats outside Croatia.

Thank you Sun Island Tours

Review for: Venice To Split

Thank you Sun Island Tours Just last week we returned from our 3 week holiday to Venice, Ljubliana (Slovenia) & Croatia. My husband has never really had the desire to travel to Europe and when I asked him if he wanted to go, he responded ‘not really, but you just tell me when & I will have my bag packed’. I was really worried what his thoughts were. Not only could I see that he was having a good time, he told me that it was a great family holiday. Having a background in the building industry, he was amazed with the buildings, the feature, textures and the construction of them. Still being a bit budget conscious, you recommended Hotel Malibran in Venice that was European 3 star. I wasn’t sure what that meant, but it was clean & comfortable. The breakfast was included and was enough to give us a great start to the day. We stayed approx. a 10 min walk from San Marco and I think it was a better location. Loved exploring the back alleys. Although we took up your recommendation of Ljubliana in Slovenia, this was the place I was concerned about. After now ticking this off my list I can only describe Ljubliana as a scene out a romantic move, stunning! Side note – I might have to revisit as we had a half pouring raining afternoon and I didn’t go on the funicular to the Castle. The half day tours to Lake Bled, Postojna cave & Predjama castle were perfect and just the right amount of time. City Hotel was close to the old town, great stay & yummy breakfast. From here we took the train to Zargreb (another experience that I would 100% recommend). Short stop in Zargreb before we went to Split via Plitvice Lakes. Plitvice is worth the visit. We booked a 7 night small boat cruise from Split to Dubrovnik. I loved every single port. The crew were great and the Cruise Director was kind enough to recommend some family friendly restaurants. A travel tip for your clients – they will do your washing on board and it is only approx. $30. A highlight for my daughter was the island of Vis and visiting the locations of were they filmed Mamma Mia 2. At the end of our trip we stayed 2 nights in Dubrovnik. Thank you for booking us into Hotel More! Spectacular in every way. Whilst there we enjoyed an afternoon at the cave bar watching the sunset for my daughter’s birthday. Probably the best day of my holiday. We can’t thank you enough for the fabulous family holiday that we have just had. Your staff looked after every detail and I’m looking forward to booking my next holiday with you.

A little disappointed

Review for: Split - Dubrovnik (One Way) Cruise - (KL7)

A little disappointed to say the least (A trip of a life time). We sailed from Split to Dubrovnik, Crew were really friendly and helpful but the boat was a huge disappointment. Tea and coffee not available unless you buy it outside of meal times, out of date information, a safe that did not work, very thin scratchy towels - only accepted cash not card.
