Itinerary

DAY 1 – Saturday:            DUBROVNIK

You will be transferred from Dubrovnik airport to the port, where embarkation begins at 14:00h. Get settled in your cabin before going on a walking tour of Dubrovnik around 17:00h, the “Pearl of Adriatic”. Walk through Stradun – both a street and a square, the most famous place inside the town walls, enlisted as UNESCO’s World Heritage site, where your guide will show you the most interesting sights of Dubrovnik and visit the Franciscan Monastery with its Pharmacy. After returning to ship enjoy a Welcome reception followed by dinner this evening. Overnight in Dubrovnik. (D)

DAY 2 – Sunday:               DUBROVNIK – ELAPHITI ISLANDS – SLANO

Early in the morning enjoy the magic scenery as the ship cruises around Dubrovnik city walls to continue to one of the Elaphiti islands for a swim stop. Afternoon arrival in Slano, a peaceful fishermen’s village and our starting point to Ston, situated on Pelješac peninsula and once fortified small village famous for its oysters. Pelješac peninsula is known as one of the best wine-producing regions in Croatia. After exploring the town, we leave to a small nearby village to enjoy the authentic local oyster tasting. Overnight and Captain’s dinner on board in Slano. Overnight in Slano. (B, L, D)

DAY 3 – Monday:             SLANO – MLJET – KORČULA

In the morning we head north to the Island of Mljet. Join the Cruise Manager for a stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park. Continue our cruise towards the Korčula island, best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Afternoon arrival in Korčula followed by a guided walking tour of this enchanting town surrounded by walls, which is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean. Overnight in Korčula where you can enjoy a gourmet experience at the multiple restaurants and bars. Overnight in Korcula. (B, L)

DAY 4 – Tuesday:             KORČULA – BIŠEVO – VIS

Early in the morning we sail to small island Biševo to visit the Blue Cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon. Possibility of our visit will depend on weather conditions; however, you will be notified of this on time. Cruise towards the island of Vis once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and restricted to the public. Due to this isolation, Vis has a special charm – “the Mediterranean as it once was” making it interesting to visit. Try some exquisite wine sorts in one of the Vis traditional wineries. If interested, visit the remains of the Roman thermal place, City Museum or simply take a walk enjoying the views. Overnight in the port of Vis. (B, L)

DAY 5 – Wednesday:     VIS – HVAR

In the morning head further towards Stari Grad on the island of Hvar, the longest and sunniest island in the Adriatic, with a swim stop and lunch on board. After disembarking in Stari Grad we will take the bus to visit the town of Hvar, which will show you many historical sights of the town, such as St Stephen’s Square and Cathedral, the Arsenal with the theatre built on its first floor, the first municipal theatre in Europe. Above Hvar Town is the impressive fortress Fortica offering magnificent views over the bay and Pakleni islands. In the evening, arrival by bus to the boat in Stari Grad. Overnight in Stari Grad. (B, L)

DAY 6 – Thursday:           STARI GRAD, HVAR – TROGIR (KRKA NATIONAL PARK)

Early morning departure to the old Dalmatian town Trogir. After docking join a guided tour of Trogir with a local tour guide. Trogir is sometimes referred to as “miniature Venice” or a “mini-Dubrovnik” because of its ancient walls, or a “floating museum town” – as it has a masterful architecture including some stunning Venetian palaces. Afterwards, you will discover the beauty of the Krka National Park and the small access port of Skradin where the flora and fauna are exceptional. Overnight in Trogir. Overnight in Trogir. (B, L)

DAY 7 – Friday:                 TROGIR – SPLIT

In the morning set sail to Split with a stop along the way to swim and relax, if weather permits, with lunch on board. In the late afternoon we arrive at Split to spend the night. Arriving in Split, join a guided tour of the city, visit the seafront promenade and Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace. The historical center of the city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your evening is free in Split. (B, L)

Amazing Adriatic

Review for: Adriatic Princess Split-Split M/S Adriatic Princess

We were a group of 4 adults, who had an amazing Adriatic adventure. We were greeted warmly on arrival, and were throughout the cruise. The cabins were fabulous, and the crew attentive and friendly. A staff member told us that we would start the week as strangers and leave as family. This was indeed the case, and we found it hard to believe that we had only known them all for 7 days. The boat was roomy, with plenty of space for all to find a corner to relax, whilst sailing. The tours, and activities, were informative and enjoyable. The beautiful Adriatic sea was clean and clear, and being able to swim directly off the boat was fantastic. The ports of call were also beautiful, with quaint villages and old towns. We loved Dubrovnik's Old Town the most, with its historical buildings and character. We would highly recommend a cruise with Sun Island, and the transfers and bookings, surrounding our cruise, were all on time and efficient. We will look forward to our next adventure with Sun Island.

Croatia & Adriatic Cruise - M/S Premier

Review for: From Croatia to Italy Cruise & Stay - M/S Premier

This tour was the 2nd week of October and the last tour of the season. That came with both positives and negatives. First the positives: 1. Great Tour Managers: Gabby on land and Zoran on the MS Premier. They (and the entire crew) were extremely friendly and helpful! 2. Great itinerary with magnificent scenery! 3. Good food and lots of it! 4. Lots of plugs in your room. 5. Adequate storage space. 6.. The ship was attractive and clean, and the small numbers allowed the passengers and crew to get to know each other well. 7. During the 2nd week of October, there were no crowds at all in ports which was great, and it was not hot on the walking tours, but at times it was nippy. Negatives: 1. It was too cold to swim except on the last day, and we got some strong winds. We could not enjoy sitting on the ship decks for most of the trip, but everyone went on deck to take photos. 2. The heating and air conditioning on the Premier is controlled by the Captain. The entire ship must be set on either air conditioning or heat. This was a problem for passengers on the lower deck. It was way too hot and stuffy when the heat was turned on at night. If you were upstairs, you could open your balcony door if it got too hot, but downstairs we had to turn the ventilation off completely. This would not be a problem during the summer when the AC would be on the entire time. 3. If you take the last cruise of the year, the bar begins to run out of certain items towards the end of the cruise. 4. The bath products were minimal. You got individual packets of body wash/shampoo, but no conditioner. or lotions, and there was only one tiny waste basket in the bathroom. They needed a waste basket in the room.

Excellent vessel

Review for: Beauty Cruise Split - Split M/S Equator

The cruise ship 'Avangard' is an excellent vessel. An almost brand new vessel with spacious living areas, luxurious ensuite cabins which were regularly refreshed, gourmet meals. Highly competent captain and sailing crew. Dedicated, skilled and friendly waiting/bar staff, Very knowledgeable and accommodating tour leader. The Split (to Dubrovnik) to Split 7-day tour itinerary was brilliant. So much to see and do, with excellent shore excursions.
